  1. Its only 6 months or less old and the battery was added when I got it. I'm just trying to keep the green hair out of the the tank. Its not bad now, but I see it and it bugs me. My nitrates sit about .5. I don't have sps.
  2. I used two viles yesterday and got different readings twice. I did a 15 gal water change and checked again tonight. I didn't use two viles this time, just one each test. I did set it to countdown. I think I'll try your idea of using se sample and either see if it stabilizes or average it out. .09 is acceptable range tho? I thought had to.be down around .02-.04
  3. So I just did three water tests using ulr hanna checker. I got readings .04. .06 and .09. I did three checks because my other test said zero using sera phosphate kit. I followed the instructions and have been using it for about 6months now. Anyone have same issues?
  4. What's the best placement for a chalice and scans? I see them on the bottomed of a lot of tanks. I'm trying to get these all placed to fill in a 90 gal. Don't really want everything on the bottom. I guess I can not glue the plugs and go from there
  5. So im about to put some frags on my tank. I've had them for a month on a rack. Got a couple chalices, scans, blastos, and favia. I want to place them where they can grow but also touch as the get bigger. What corals really.need to be solo and way is not a big deal if they are close?
  6. That's a thought. Ill add some carbon and try to " dirty" up the water some too
  7. 2 family tickets for Barrier Reef Aquariums. Thanks
  8. Nothing has changed as far as lights, maintenance, or filtration. Everything else is growing and opening up with the exception of a cristata that always looks good, just have never grown. I have zoas, scans, mushrooms and even a devil's hand that is growing like a weed
  9. So I've had a real deep green toadstool almost a year now. Its done real well for the first few months and grew to be bigger than a golf ball. Over the last few months it has shrank down to the size of a small marble. The tentacles still come out a bit. Its not slugging off and shedding. Is this the normal course of dying? Water is 435 cal, 8.5 all, 4 nitrate, almost zero phosphate.
  10. Nope not going to dicker with it. If I can't connect and solder it back, I will just use the blues. Thanks for the info tho. Glad to get that before I burned them up
  11. Yup, thank you. I've ordered it and will see when it gets here
  12. Very true. I thought of that. Would it be unwise to just wire the white LEDs to the one good driver?
  13. Just the one and when I swapped wires to be sure it was not leds they all lit up, just on with this driver
  14. Don't judge, but it's the relassy 800w. I got it free and want to try on a frag tank.
  15. I've Google's the crap out of it. Nothing, but I get close. I'll check out an electronics store , that's a good thought. Thanks.
  16. Can anyone with electronic knowledge help me find a replacement led driver? Not sure how this works with all the variety out there. This is what I have that needs replaced.
  17. Don't extenders cut the signal strength in half though?
  18. Trying to figure out the name of these two. Wife came home with them today. Have to tell her to stop one of these days, but I dig her paying for them. Makes it harder for her to complain when I get my indo torch.
  19. I've had a pair of mollies for a year now. The first time they had babies I saw one in my sump and one in my overflow. Still have one in the sump this next pair should be done this weekend and will go into a different tank
  20. Not me. I've never had one survive dropping in, or a single day of acclimating. Have any babies with yours?
