I recently started a new nano tank with rock from my sump. Not sure if this guy was hiding out in my sump, or if maybe he came from the bag of sand. Needless to say I remember black claws not being reef safe, but when I was looking on the google all I found was striped crabs. This one looks exactly like the rock other than the black pinchers. Any idea what he is and why he’s bad? I figure for the time being he’s good clean up crew during my mini cycle. I had my eye on the mantis shrimp at Cuttlefish, I’m sure she could exterminate him after cycle anyways 😂🤷🏼‍♂️

We started a Pico tank with a empty  volume of 2.5g. I used rock from my sump, and sand from a sealed Caribsea bag. It took about a week to cycle. I think the rock from established tank, as well as the small water volume made it fast. 

Cannot say thank you enough to everyone involved! Spotlight at Jeff also, makes me happy to see this level of selflessness!

I just added some fish (three yellow tangs and a copperband butterfly). I thought the yellows would do their own version of the movie gladiator, instead the kole tang is chasing everyone and nipping at fins. He just went beserk!

According to timestamp it was posted between 6:03-6:04 that many people just commented that fast. I was number 19 and had this set up. I even had an incognito window open in case cache messed with new post showing. I think @Manny Tavan is on to something with the tapatalk
