  1. They also sell at home depot, probably cheaper at the other listed places.

FRP is the shinny plastic dimpled shower board stuff.. so you see why its easier to just say FRP. Glue on wall, silicone the bottom.. rock star rot/mold/water damage protection.

  2. I have not heard of it. Where do you get it at? I really like shellac because you can really custom tint it but the whole no resistance to alcohol is a problem:(

So I mostly go to wipe on poly. I used this new "triple thick" water based poly on my new kitchen doors and drawer fronts. One coat, a little sanding and then a little touch up with wipe on.

Shout out to mark for the cabinet hook up!! b849a6efec7c926ae322cad0cccd2541.jpgce723398560fded8717b125551a81f69.jpg

  3. I like the 2" thick tree core on the left in the photo.  Will that be part of your aquarium build?
Yeah, that is a slab of juniper. Going to make an epoxy coffee table with it. It's at the bottom of the list right now though. :(

  4. Holly, do you have an ORP probe in your tank? If so, look at the reading over the last day. If it is rapidly dropping, it means he is crammed in a rock somewhere dead.

I lost two blue throats by apparantly having them say "hey, I think I can fit in here" and then they couldn't.

    Hope he turns up!!

  5. Hey john, I can drop me compressor off at cuttlefish if you want. I have this really small one that I use for trim work. Still will blow 100 psi though.

That is unless you made plans with Bill. I dont know if he lives close to you or the shop.

    Shoot me a text.

    Cheers

  6. see what happens to orange gear....

I would not push a strong trimmer through it, you will just pack the sediment into a big glob and then it will be OVER.  Citric acid could clean it... but you are not really dissolving anything so its not really going to help.  Make suggestion would be an air compressor or, if you are not man enough to own one of those, a can of air.

You CAN however easily replace it.

    1. Cut the existing tubing about 1 foot short of the conduit.

    2. Take the new tubing and hold next to the old tubing.

    3.  Wrap both tubes tightly with hardware wire.  Wrap them for a good couple inches.  Tuck the ends of the wire into the ends of the tubing.

    4.  Pull new tubing through the conduit using the old tubing.

I have some REALLY thin wire if you want to give it a try.  It will work just fine.

For those concerned about aesthetics, Geo is now offering custom color combinations.  This would match my Apex and plumbing nicely....🤓

I can't remember where, but i recently read that having too much orange plumbing and nick nacks can cause STN in acropora.   Something to be aware of.

  8. I have read up on those auto calrx before. Honestly though, with the kamoer pumps and an apex ph controller you get the same amount or automation for a lot less money.

Dialing it in is as simple as speeding up or slowing down the kamoer. The apex will adjust co2 as needed.
