well damsels have a fatal flaw they are very aggressive especially around food. Grab a net and have it ready drop a big chunk of frozen food in the tank while he's hogging it swoop him up in the net. worked really well for me I got two out at the same time using this method. I then threw them in my sump for a few days tell I found them a good home.

My ammonia and nitrite are 0 I put the marine pure balls in my sump to boost my tanks bio filtration now my nitrates are not detectable. The stuff works great! Yes it can be used in a new aquarium. It works well I have some in my sump. You can use less live rock or no live rock with it. You will have to dose some bio spira or similar to boost the bacteria and you can add a small chunk of shrimp to start everything off.
