I do about 1.5x but yea, it seems to avoid most of the problems associated with the full strength stuff and pumps/lines.

Seriously, how big is your new system? I read they grow really fast when young. I’d love to see it grow into a specimen like Garrett had!

I asked Garrett at one point how old he thought that clam was and he said easily 40+ years old.  The gigas in particular amazes me as the king of the Tridachnids.

Mine have never done that but I dilute my solution and keep the lines 6" off the surface of the water.

That's probably fine.  The HMS kit isn't exactly stellar.  The feet themselves are an 'L' shape instead of a 'U' shape and thus only cover the top and one side respectively.  They're constantly drifting away from the glass.  Not fun having that much lighting being so insecure.  Your designs are obviously much superior.
