How long the process from collecting your sample to receiving the result?

I am more concern with the fluctuation in the tank during the course of shipping and receiving the result.

Corrective action/s that you do is for past reading of parameters.

Some parameters may have change already by the time the result came out and as a result may be over or under correction.

One way to address this issue as suggested by Triton is doing more test as often, the drawback is cost prohibitive.

It is much better when Triton open up a lab here to reduce the time to get the result.

Set up quarantine tank, this is a must if you have fish.

This way you don't have to treat the whole tank and easy on the cost of med when you have smaller quarantine tank.

My fish haven't been happy the last week... fuzzy spots ' date='cloudy eyes... params were ok, so I thought it was just bacterial from the stress of adding a new large fish to the tank... this morning I woke up to 4 dead fish, and everyone else hiding... corals all look great... nitrates trites and phos are all up, which I'd expect from the dead fish... I'll do a 20% water change as soon as the water is up to temp, and another tomorrow... anything else I should do? Steve, usually when outside extreme temp change the barometric pressure also fluctuate.

The fish sense this and may lower their immune system.

When temp of water gets colder, marine velvet and ick that stays in fish gut can become active to attack fish.

If you don't have coral in the tank try to bring up the temp around 89 deg and pay the attention to your fish body for powder coating appearance and cloudy eyes.

If you see this then malachite green and formaldehyde combination in one package is good for treatment.

Pure copper sulfate (non chelated one) also can be used if you don't plan to put coral in the tank. Copper stays in the tank and absorb to the live rock and stay for good.

I hope you can control this sooner.

President already accepted explanation and dealt with this issue by acquiring the right to pnwmas.com name.

Simple enough, as you talk here about how you would like things proactively done.

Mattv register the pnwmas.com because he doesn't want anybody else has the change to have it that when the club needed to rebuild the site and need .com name is there and secure.

He did that knowing that a person with admin password can accessed and destroy the site and anybody could messed around with the club name also.

Please try to obtain email conversation in circulation from any of bod members.

On that email even stated that you are along with his idea, I hope it is not true.

The intent and purpose of a new website is there in that email.

Someone with admin password logged in to pnwmas site and deleting files and database to kill pnwmas site.

This is concerning and why a person would have malicious intent like that for just a reef forum?

Honestly this is all crazy we should be discussing the fact that there is a chance our hobby as we know it could cease to exist if this goes through

This listing is actually pertaining to US and It's Territory only. It doesn't concern to the whole world.

What it does however is affecting us domestically, because NOAA can pursue to make a regulation regarding this issue.

Lobbyist will see it as a time to raise funds for fighting whatever bill it may come about.

Every so often this hobby always facing this type threatening situation but always can reason with law maker because no one want to OK the worst possible bill.

And with regard to a conflict of interest, last I read I don't see anything in the by laws that mentions anything remotely close to being on the board, or an admin and you can't hold position or be part of a said rival site.

I came up with the term "RIVAL SITE" so I need to explain.

It is a free country that anyone can put a reef forum or whatever forum they like.

When you open up a new reef forum and pooling resources either man power or even soliciting man power from people at pnwmas, yes it is more like a rival site to me.

If you don't see it fit, call it whatever you like. It is a fishy business...lol
