  2. Goes like this:
As an originator of OG & MasterKrakatoa, I sent both to distance
planet RobMeBlind for a Jedi mission.

To keep the teritorry secured both OG & Master Krakatoa has to stay.

As a solution to ever growing zoa pirates on earth they sent back
their child the Speckled Krakatoa to rule the zoa world on earth.

Going through narrow crack in space falling back to earth the young krakatoa gaining the spots from stardust particle.

The spots will be eternally embedded in the gene and become the trademark of Speckled Krakatoa

  3. The big bottle only come with single dispensing tip. In our case we can't use the whole bottle in a day or two, the following day the glue in the tip set/harden about 1/4".

Every day we have to cut down below the cured part and by day three we don't have much tip left. The bigger the opening the more glue cured inside that dispensing tip so

the bigger area have to cut by the day. The cap has needle tip to prevent the glue from curing but it become useless if the tip being cut low and the needle part cant reach the tip.

I think the whole thing is a metter of preference, go with the one that works.

  4. Lol, yeah I was joking! IC Gel is good stuff, just wish it came in a different bottle and a larger size:)

There is a reason why fast acting glue come in small size. It is about the tip end usable service, bigger size will have issue with the tip become

clog and have to find another way of dispensing the glue. Even when tip ends come in 2pcs like IC Gel, still will not help if the glue size is bigger.

I have tried using a bigger bottle of glue that is much cheaper, but we are wasting time has to fix the clog end tip and halted frag production cost me

    even more.

  5. The purple ones are nice. I was at Rudy's last weekend and he had some new ones. I can't remember what you called them Rudy but they looked similar to the master Krakatoas that I guess cornbred sells for 1000 dollars a polyp. I just had to stare at it for a while!

It is a Krakatoa series that I called Speckled Krakatoa. I received a few months back and melted and the one I got now originally from Jeff at Cuttlefish then bought by Mr Bret & Softy.

There is a story how it came about speckled that Mr Bret posted on FB.

  6. I tried the Maxi-Cure (not the insta-cure like your link) because Upscales had a few bottles for like $7...He doesn't carry it anymore:)

It's a little thinner than the IC Gel, but still plenty thick. For zoas, or anything with a flat base, it works flawlessly. I don't trust it for larger colonies, but still I have used it for all sizes.

I pulled the data and compared it to the IC Gel:

Maxi-Cure is 89-93% ethyl2 cyanoacrylate with 7-9% Methyl methacrylate polymer

IC Gel is 80-90% ethyl2 cyanoacrylate with 10-20% Treated Fumed Silica

I have been using it for about 18 months now...tank seems to be doing pretty good:) At first glance, one may think Maxi-cure has meth in it...lol...the fish seemed a little SHIFTY EYED...oh wait, that's Methyl methacrylate polymer, which I believe is also known as ACRYLIC. Yeah, I think it's reef safe:)

Now, as for that IC Gel...it contains Treated Fumed Silica, which....I have no idea what that stuff is?!? Good luck;)

I have been using and selling IC Gel for years without any issue, I can safely says it is reef safe base on my own usage and my customers experience.

  7. It looks like the next step is to separate them after a few weeks. The juveniles appear to turn aggressive against each other at some point. I would like to hear what Mike may have to say about this.

John, they are developing pecking order, it natural that way. As long as you have hiding place and rock work that should be enough to break temporary agression among each other.
