  1. Someone buy my camera. It’s like new, we just never use it. it’s a cannon rebel t1i. Comes with case, and extra zoom lense. Asking 125$
  2. I couldn’t find a decent place in my house to keep this, so Jeff was nice enough to let me set it up at the shop. Stop by and take a look while you’re shopping for corals.
  3. She’s up and running. I still want to tinker with the drain a little and hopefully quiet it down. It’s not terribly noisy, but it sits right by my head when I’m sleeping.
  4. If I had room by my main tank, I would totally do that.
  5. I’m also lucky to have a place that I can let this thing grow in while I figure out the rest of the setup. The base is an old cutting board I cut to fit. I wanted something I could easily remove as one piece when the gsp needs a trim.
  6. Yep. I didn’t want to drill more than one hole. The drain is 3/4”, and I have 1/2” vinyl tube running up the inside of the drain.
  7. Reworked the plumbing today. This is definitely the most time and thought I’ve ever put into plumbing a tank. Which seems silly considering the stupid thing is less than 3 gallons total volume.
  8. Kim just needs an excuse to come see Jorge. I have a 4g waterbox you can have. At the first sign of trouble, you can just carry the whole thing outside to the dumpster.
  9. Got it up and running today. I think this might actually work!
  10. I have a kessil a160 sitting around. Total overkill for gsp in 3” of water, but it’ll do.
  11. I Thought about acrylic, but I don’t know if I could cut it into a circle without breaking it. All I have to work with is a table saw.
  12. Like a vinyl tile? That could work.
  13. I need some advice. My plan is to cut something that will sit on the bottom of the bowl. I want something that I can grow the gsp on, but is easy to remove so I can trim to keep it from growing up the sides. I just need something that sinks, is easy to cut, and is thin. I’m sure someone out there knows exactly what I need.
  14. A little progress today. It took a few tries, but I finally got the pvc overflow cut and drilled the way I want it. I glued a 1/2” pvc fitting into the overflow for the return line.
  15. I’m nothing if not consistent.
  16. I’m seriously thinking about doing that now.
  17. I’m thinking just a carpet of gsp with sexy shrimp and porcelain crabs.
  18. After a day and a half of quarantine, I started looking around for something to tinker with. I found this vase in the garage. It’s 9” across, and 3.5” deep. The overflow is some pvc I cut to fit. that’s as far as I’ve gotten so far. I need to scrounge for more random parts for the return.
  19. I need a small acrylic project built for me. I need a 9” wide, 14” long, 3” tall tray. 1/4” acrylic should be totally fine. It doesn’t need to be perfect. If this sounds like something you could make, please let me know what it would cost. Xoxo
  20. I can bring some by tomorrow. I have a service account down the street from you.
  21. Does anyone have any left over fluke tabs? I just need enough to treat a 20 gallon system. On an unrelated note. A while ago, when I posted asking for blue clove polyps, there were a few people who warned me that it was a terrible idea. If you were one of those people, now is a good time to say "I told you so"!
  22. I wonder if I can call in sick, then come to the party.
