Ok I believe I voted 2" but can't remember lol but anyhow it ranges from 1"-4" due to my mp60 and my stingray putting it were he thinks it should go. But as for the brown algae don't really have a big problem with it I have a couple hundred snails and hermit crabs and a huge sand sifting starfish so with all of them put together my sand is turned constantly. And as for the debris floating in my tank when it's disturbed I don't really have that problem anymore. The first couple months I had my tank I had it horrible couldn't really figure out what it was but it was from my stingray constantly burrying himself in the sand and coming out and shaking it off on top of him always sucking up the sand and flushing it out the holes on top of his head looking for inverts. It was a thorn in my side for a couple months but I'm glad cause now I can run my hand through the sand and nothing it all settles immediately but that's just me.

Hey man I don't think I have ever met you by it's always sad to hear when someone leaves the hobby. I know you don't want to part with your LEDs. And I'm sorry to ask you on this thread about them but how did you like rapidleds DIY kit I have been heisatant on buying them cause I want to do a DIY kit thanks again and I hope and pray for a fast recovery

Well I wouldn't mind hosting I live in Albany I don't have a tank thread up yep but I have a 265 and in the next week or so going to plum in a display sump so my wife can have her sea horses and pipefish only problem is that I live in an apartment so it would be crowded but would love to have some gentle criticism let me talk to the wife about feb just nervous cause of how many other great tanks that are on here

Hey man sorry to hear about ur lose I just got over an ich breakout lost my chevron tang, blue hippo, and my kole tang so I did pretty good but it hurts I know brother but if it was me I would get a couple green chromis there like 5 bucks a piece and extremely hardy just a thought man keep your head up and stay with it cause in the end it is worth it

Garret at TPA in Salem is tearing down a couple of his 150 not sure wat he wants but I'm sure he will hook u up

Haha yeah same with me I blew the motor in my Infiniti G35 so I bout a beater 86 Camry muffler got ripped off so its crazy loud but it only cost $700 bucks and gets 30mpg kinda of upset that the money didn't go into my tank but its whatever

Get on rapidled.com and look at there DIY kits they have solder kits and solder less kits which is what I'm going to start investing in. When I was living in Ohio I knew quite a few people that were doing the DIY led kits and there coral thrived under the LEDs. But make sure u get the dim-able LEDs so u can adjust them properly. Now as for the par and amps that you run through it I have no idea on any of that but if u call there customer service and talk to them they are extremely nice and very knowledgeable I mean I know that's there job and should know about that stuff but they will break it down for u Barney style as we say in the army so u can understand what it does and the best way to set ur system up. Personally if I were u go LEDs right off the bat it will save u a lot of money in the long run and the look u get is crazy awesome

That is so awesome about ur daughter and the cool thing about the apartment is the bottom floor is setting on a slab but I doubt the room will be big enough the tank is 12ft long 4 ft deep and 36 in tall
