  1. Exactly what jeramy said my first twenty i rushed and it showed, hardest part about the hobby for me is going slow ha but it comes
  2. I wouldnt add the calcium unless your levels are off it ahould be from 400-500, for coral they want/ need an enviroment that is stable your tryong.to change the water chemistry as slow as possible. Just make sure your levels are good and slow and steady, no worries if your cardinal doesnt eat for a day they can easily.do this in fact the less you overall feed the better water quality etc. Your frogspawn is probably just reacting to the change and or going.about its.normal shrivel expand cycle euphyllias are more durable.corals tho due to theyre natural envoroment so hopefully its just that and itll be ok
  3. Oh yeah definately a beauty
  4. Not bad at all and they even got them in petco, wetpets also has feeder guppies 8 fpr a dollar. The only problem is ypu cant useit for a long time food source or theyll lack important vitamins and minerals
  5. I feed mine guppies, just because he has a smaler mouth then anglers and is extrmely picky about what he eats, it took me.three weaks without him feeding warts are much less picky as they can eat much bigget prey. Freshwater guppies and shrimp can live maybe an hour or so enough time to be munched
  6. Hydrometets orginally werent used for measuring salt jn the water amd is usually .02 of making you drop probably from 1.025 to 1.021 whicj is why it needs to be calibrated or taken into account
  7. You can if you want to slowly raise back to ideal conditions by topping off with salt water and testing ir another water change. A fish system ideally is from 1.023 to 1.025 and coral and reef systems more closely to actual conditions of ocean from 1.025-1.026 the smaller the tank your goi.g to see more drastic changes which is why bigger is better in salt
  8. Good point beth, also what are you keeping i assume just fish which can handle lower salinity its even a potential way help cure them of parasites etc. That big of drop isnt lethal considering a hyposalinity method drops them from 1.026 to 1.008-1.010 in 5-7 days woth no ill effects. Fiah take ot much harder going.up in salinity at such drastic changes then down. Now if you have any inverts they might feel some effects espicially corals which are looking.for the most stable of conditions you can provide them
  9. Theyre reef safe just not with anything that can fit in their mouth i assume they are coral friendly except i can see them damaging.something if they perch on it for a long while. Most ive seen were at upscales and fantaseas gwts evey now.and again as well. Its a harder fish to take care of and they typically will not eat or they slowly decline in captivity. As long as your preparef to feed live foods you should be okay. I dont havr a wartakin but ive done some research on them. I do have a leaf fish tgough which is similiar in habits. Just be expecting a small challenge and even if they eat doesnt mean theyrw sure fire going to live, upscales had one for four months that randomly killed over whixh ate once a week
  10. got like 10 of those no big deal, just dont ask to see them as they are very shy
  11. was going to say the same i dig the melanarus, thats quite a sailfin too he flares what looks like as big as the frag rack
  12. Hopefully the effects trickle down to the common level, China is becoming a consumer nation like us which worries me for the sea life in the region considering the US and Japan are fishing tuna to extinction already
  13. So completely out of season, buttt i need money so if anyone is interested im looking for 200$ for the deck bindings and.boots, its a burton board, 5150 bindings and k2 boots if your interested send me a pm.or text 5035160783 and i can get you a pic
  14. I sold mine tearing down my 150 cause i didnt plan using it, id recomend a coralife powerstrip has exact same function for less tgen half the price typically i just dont feel it worth he 65 retail
  15. I was using it with 4 koralia 1400s and it worked fine, reviews on the pump though said it didnt click with the random on offs but it definately did but other then that i was happy it depends how many punps you have it running and the intervals at which you run it. If your looking for something to make a actual wave in the tank it only makes a small one and is hard to accomplish because the correct time intervals arent possible to reach with so few options
  16. If its adult size its false percula because the black lines around the white arent extended like a true percula
  17. Bumping this back up, i need it gone no offer will be unheard
