a 10 to 15 percent water change weekly should be fine in his system without a skimmer. there are a ton of people running full blown sps tanks without skimmers so I think in your case it should be sufficient.

yeah the hobby really isn't fun without the interaction of local members. I'm remember some old guys that use to be on the forum who hung out with and that was probably the funnest time I ever had in the reefing hobby.

no please don't misunderstand me. I love pnwmas, it's the only forum I visit still but I wouldn't know what I know toady without reef central. pnwmas Is more like a club to me then a forum.

is there some kinda of connection from reef 2 reef to pnwmas? I have noticed a lot of members here are members of reef 2 reef also. I guess the surprise is the forums is relatively small compared to reef central, In comparison reef 2 reef has 45,000 members and reef central has close to 300, 000. some of the brightest stars in this hobby frequently contribute to that forum. not to mention a majority of the topics posted there started over at reef central. I guess it's a little rant be never understood the connection.

The best thing to do is not respond to these comments. I can understand your frustration after long hours and hard work trying to please people with good intentions but people don't like change and there probably nothing you can say to change there hearts. you have the keys to this forum, so do what you think is best and Ignore the negative. as a leader you want to separate your self. just listen to the people and make needed adjustments.

you can cut those aluminum strips a lot smaller where they barely connect the 2 lights. looks a lot cleaner with less metal.
