  1. I didn't get the DI as I already have one and I first wanted to see what I thought of the RO unit. I'm using city water and it will be installed on the wall in the shower .
  2. I just purchased one yesterday. I'll set it up and give you some feedback. My other unit was great but too large to handle so I wanted something compact. Mine was $50 on Amazon Prime. I think if you keep looking at the item the price drops ????
  3. That's very good info. Thanks! I cleaned the tank before I saw your post so no picture. It was a rusty brown color. I cleaned the sand and did a 30% water change. I put carbon in the reactor for now. My corals are looking happy so I'll rather see what decreased light will do .
  4. Thanks! I don't have a skimmer yet. I'll be getting a tunze 9004 later this week. Until then I'll do some gravel cleaning, decrease light and do a water change.
  5. Thanks! It's a small desktop version so I'm going to put Phosban in it and keep the carbon in the filter sock.
  6. I've used phosban before in a bag without much success so I bought a reactor to reduce phosphates. My question was regarding the different phosphate reduction media on the market. Which one have people had success with.
  7. I just purchased an Innovative Marine media reactor and I'm wondering what is the best media to put in it. Phosban, NP active pearls ....Thoughts? My main concern is brownish algae.
  8. I'll take the $30 one . Can you pm me your address please. Thanks
  9. The fish and corals are all looking happy in the QT. I love the carpet nem but I'm terrified he might eat my other fish when introduced. Huge thanks to Chris and to Jeff for posting . I'm one happy reefer tonight ????
  10. I'm so excited! I went a whole 2 days with one less tank in the house Hubby just shook his head .
  11. Welcome back. I can't wait to see what you do with my little Solana. I miss it already ????
  12. https://www.facebook.com/CatsonCoke/videos/785961944847092/ Let's see if this posts.
  13. I just posted some pictures on FB. FYI the stand would need to be modified to fit the sump. It fits in fine but a bit too high. I had a custom stand made which I am using for another tank.
  14. The cube is 20 inches and holds 34 gallons . That is excluding the sump.
  15. Yes. Lake Oswego. It would be a great excuse for more fish too
  16. I know right! One can never have too many tanks
  17. I'm saving up to get an 80 gallon and my husband is putting his foot down at having 3 tanks in the house. I can't understand why So I'm sadly going to sell my beloved Solana.I had the back chamber removed and the tank drilled. The back is painted black and looks great.it comes with an Eshopps RS 75 sump and a Bak Pak SR 2 skimmer. The stand was repainted and the tank comes with the frame for the cover which matches the stand.I removed the glass to install mesh but didn't get to it. Selling the lot for $380 OBO.I also have an LED unit used for a week while I was waiting for a replacement part for my other unit.It was $100 but I'll throw it in for 70. I can post pictures on the Facebook site if anyone is interested. Thanks!
  18. I'm happy to host. My tank is small but a nice tank and it might encourage my hubby to get me the 80 gallon I've been begging for I'm in LO close to the high school.
  19. I only have one center return nozzle. I'm going to call Intank tomorrow and figure it out.
