  1. Oh, and EVERYTHING else in the tank is acting as normal.
  2. A few of the tentacles are still inflated a little and blowing in the flow as normal, but the majority of them just look like they are laying there lifeless or something. I waved my hand by it a bunch to try to see if it would close up and it did nothing.
  3. So, I have had this nem for about 1.5 weeks and it has been extending its tentacles all over the place and opening big and stuff and looking healthy the whole time until I just got home today and it looks like all the tentacles are deflated...almost a melted look, but nothing has come apart at all. I was going to move it and its foot is still stuck pretty good the the rock it is next to, so I wanted to post here before detaching it to see if indeed it looks like a melt and I should remove it completely or leave it be. Unfortunately, somehow I neglected to take any pics of it since I got it until now, so there is nothing to compare it to. It is a Condylactis Anemone (according to Seahorse) HELP!
  4. WELCOME! I am pretty new too and I have met some great people on here so far. Don't hesitate to ask questions because you will get very helpful advice. (rock2)
  5. This is a shot of a starfish at Haystack Rock This is a shot of my flower pot (goniopora) coral
  6. Thank you Rick for all your help!! My 2nd sump/fuge project is officially completed. Here are some pics.
  7. I use the INTERMATIC HEAVY DUTY TIMER model TN311C and they work great. They have the ground (3rd prong) and come with clips to set it on and off in 30 minute intervals. Also, these are relatively inexpensive online. You can buy one at the LFS, but be prepared to pay an extra $5 or so than online.
  8. ...I was not aware that I was "freaking out" about anything. I am fully aware that this is a hobby of patience. Thanks for your two cents
  9. I am kind of wondering what you Beaver fans have to say about the shutout you allowed this past weekend...saving your energy for the Civil War perhaps?(naner)
  10. So, I just got home from work and the anemone is out on the back part of the one rock and in the light (clap) Yay for coming out of hiding
  11. It was very nice meeting you too and I am glad it is liking your tank! Thank you so much for the hook up on that stuff. I got them all placed right before going to work, so I will see how happy they are when I get home. Maybe we can do some more trades in the future
  12. Here's what I've got...they are nothing special though. WOW some of you have some AMAZING shrooms!
  13. Alright, well I will just give it some time and try to feed it every few days if I can reach it (probably can with a pipette). Hopefully it is not heading for "doom" and that it is either getting ready to split or just getting used to the tank.
  14. Interesting...I knew they moved around a lot but I thought it was to find more/less light...don't they need a lot of light for their nourishment? Maybe when it gets "hungry" it will come back out (scratch) Thanks for the info!
  15. Hey so I got my very first anemone (thanks again Shane!) and a few hours after putting it in the tank last night, it crawled to the underside of the rock I had put it on and it is still hanging there upside down in the dark...is this normal for it to do? I fed it some mysis about 30 minutes after putting it in the tank and it liked it just fine. I was thinking that maybe it is still trying to get used to my tank and so it is just hanging out in the dark to destress or something, but I thought maybe someone on here has had some experience with these and can throw in their two cents on it. Any input is appreciated. Thanks!
  16. **TRADES ON THIS LISTING ARE DONE...I NEED TO TAKE NEW PICS SO THAT IT IS CLEAR WHAT I HAVE LEFT, SO I WILL MAKE A NEW POSTING THAT IS UPDATED** I had a couple of zoanthid colonies that I fragged and I would like to trade for some other frags (looking for montipora, pulsing xenia, zoas, blue or striped mushrooms, maybe other things...shoot me some pics of what you have). I also have 1 larger colony and a mantis shrimp that I found living in one of the rocks that I fragged. It is about 1" long and I can't tell if it is a spearer or a smasher. Right now he is isolated in a glass in my tank with a screen on top so he can't get out. Please send me some pics of what you have and we can do some business. If you need better pics of something in particular, let me know and I can try to take some closer/better ones. Thanks! **MOST FRAGS IN THIS PIC ARE SOLD! Thanks Mohaynow AND Hozer21!** **SIDE VIEW OF SHELF ABOVE** **THIS COLONY SOLD! Thanks Rick!** **SOLD! Thanks Noobtosalt!** **MANTIS SHRIMP SOLD! Thanks USCG CWO!**
  17. Sounds good. Yeah I wasn't really worried about it, just thought I would bring up what he was telling me. I like your idea and still want to do it. Again, I thank you for taking the time to help me out.
