Wow you must of had a really long day! My coral shopping took all of an hour and a half today.

You could always buy an RCA splitter. Normally a standard def cable has 3 colors - Red, white and Yellow for video. Hi-Def composit is 5 cables - Red, Green and blue for video and Red and white for audio.

On my 29 I run my 150w MH for 9 hours and the T-5 actinic 14 hours.

So far I havnt had any problems since aprox mid day yesterday. Quick on both my main comp and forum runner.

40 for a week? thats just crazy. My brothers tank crashed 2 weeks ago. He was in the middle of moving and saved his tank for last. Since they were not living in the house any more he had the heat shut off in the house and thats when his heater went out. He didnt know exactly when the heater failed but it couldnt have been more than two days. When he found out it was 50 in his house and I think he said his tank was at 58. He lost everything except a plate coral. Poor kid, I had a hard time convincing him to stay in the hobby after that but he started cycling his tank a few days ago.

Jonas, can you give some more details on the light? Length, whats the wattage of the MH's, how old are the bulbs for the MH and are those VHO or standard 40w? and do you have a feeling on how much you would sell it for? I know someone who might be interested..

Yup, that will work like a charm and much safer than using a check valve.

Or you could use them all for drains and plumb your returns so they go over the top rail of your tank and then back down into the tank. It's what I am going to do with my 180.

I wouldnt get anything that is specific for books. Why spend all that money for something that ONLY does books? Get an Ipad if you can afford it.

Thats okay it only stung a little! Did the closed thread option just come back? I ask because we had someone flag a post and ask for us to close it. Then I made a post trying to verify that users could lock their own threads because I could of sworn it was an option. I think it was Jay that came back and told me it was an upgrade problem. Also for those who dont like rep I am pretty sure there is an option to turn it off in your profile setting..pretty sure...okay now i'm gonna have to check BRB. P.S I dont blame him for not liking the pink. I'd rather not have any pink in my profile eigther!!!

I kid... anyways..The user asked me to look at his account to see if I could see his rep and I could not find his rep in his profile, i could only see what eveyrone else see's on a public profile. Maybe a BOD has more forum rights than a mod does, or thats another thing that changed when we upgraded the forum software. I just found out the other day that users cant lock their own threads currently. I was told it was something they are working on to get fixed.

Hmm, I didnt know you had to be a member to see who left you the rep. Thanks Kim, I guess that explains it! I'm 50/50 with rep. It does allow the community to kinda self police when it comes to some posters being annoying, rude ect but it can sometimes get out of hand. LOL Jon!

Got a question for any of the folk around here that has had the unfortunate situation of getting negative rep. I have a user here on the forum ask me if I could tell him who was dinging him with negative rep. I explained that he could see who gave him what rep by going to settings and look at what is listed. He told me that all he could see was the post link and the users comment for the negative rep but not the actually user who left it for him. Since I don’t have any negative rep myself ( and no I don’t want any, thank you (scary)) can anyone who has gotten negative rep enlighten me on whether or not the user name never shows up on negative rep? I know it does for positive rep... Thanks.
