Thanks man. I plan on mentioning this to him. I never knew these little guys were that good at eating aptaisa. The only advice I could give him was the norm, calk injections, pepperment shrimp ect which didnt work that well for him. Right now he has the rock in a tote soaking in RO water with no salt in it. That might have done the trick. I'm hoping to drag him to the meeting this weekend, he's on the forum but he doesnt post.

Hi Fred, welcome to the forum! To answer a few of your questions, there are many places to shop for coral in the NW. Many of which happen to be sponsers of our forum. As for where they get them, I have no idea..lol Do you need a chiller? well as I am sure you already know, thats a bit of a loaded question because it all depends on few different factors. one being lighting and also what kind of heat your pumps and such give off. Are there places to get large tanks here? yup of course there is, this aint Siberia! lol Most of our LFS sponsers can get pretty much what ever you want. We also have a sponsor who builds acyrlic tanks. Water supply - Depends on where you live. My TDS last night was 126 going into my RO/DI. But Oregon has several different types of water supplys and each one handles their water a little differently (for the most part) Weather? most people would say rainy but I would classify it as mild. We have all four seasons here. PNWMAS has monthly meetings and a few events, and frags swaps and such are common. Anyways, welcome!

lol It was done off of an old school digital camera (probably one of the first). It actually had a floopy drive that it used to write the photo files on..lol Oh and its a pic of some Zoas and a Maxima clam.

If I was using rain water I myself wouldnt even use an RO. I would probably use just a DI at that point. From what I am reading most rain water has an average of 10-20ppm. Thats pretty darn good! I am sure there results are different between urban vs rural because of polutants though. Google pulls up quite a bit of info on the topic.

They got an Ap for just about anything! I dont have an iphone...yet. I wish I could get home sooner, but I got to catch up on work since I had Friday off and I have to give notice to my sitter today. Guess i'll just tune it in on 95.5 and use my imagination for the first quarter.
