The petco in Tualatin has about 8 tanks that are salt.

Although they are a little loud they are a good quality pump. I bought mine used and it still lasted me 2 years on my 120 before I sold it to someone else and bought a bigger pump. $40 is a steal of a price.

I'm in need of some serious help finding a retrofit kit for power compact. What I am doing is I want to add some light to my 29 bio cube. My plan is to build a hood for it and put some PC lighting in it and use some actinic to suplement the 150w halide. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Wow that really sucks man.. I got robbed in between moves about 16 yrs ago. They stole all my lighting off of my African tank and stole a corner cabinet that my great grandfather built. They did all that within 30mins. Police told me they thought it was somebody in my complex but they never found out for sure who it was.

You could try your local vet. I know mine in woodburn boards or at least they did when my dog was still alive. I think we payed like 15 or 20 dollars a day.

I ended up buying a aqueon heater to replace the visa. So far so good (scary)

Hmmm and what maybe use a controller for them? I tried using 2 on my 120 but could'nt get them both to work equally. One always triggered before the other. Both have been the glass model, which is funny because the sponsor told me that he has had way more returns on the stealth than the glass models. Maybe a bad batch? Guess it could be my bad luck when I told my brother when his heater went out that I never had a heater go out...now I've had two...guess I forgot to knock on wood!?

The heaters are actually for my rock barrels that I am cycling my rock in so I just replaced it with glass. Once I set-up the 180 i'm gonna get a 500w titanium heater. I'm not sure if the pic is real or not. Most likely a photochop, but I think its pretty funny too!

UPDATE! Okay there's not really much to update other than the fact that the tank isnt going up any time soon. I havnt really progressed on the fam room that much. I still have to drywall, paint, flooring to do. I will say that I can't push the build any further than spring because where I have the rock cycling it does not have AC and the building has a metal roof so it gets really hot in there. Once I get the room built I'm gonna get the stand built and I can start setting up the tank!

If anyone is looking to buy a heater I wouldnt go with one of these. I've had 2 fail completely and I have another thats on its way out. One was only a month old and the others are about 2 months old. I even had one that I stuck into a brand new 35 gal tote of RO water shed its paint off and into the tote the second I put the it in the water. It looked like I had a bunch of metal flake floating around in the water. Even though they carry a life-time gaurentee I wont ever buy one again. I will say the sponsor I bought these from was really good about giving me credit for the first one. I'm gonna let him know today about the second.
