  2. pic heres the requested pic. There all very mad cause I picked them up but there very healthy and bright when not mad. And there not zoas I meant to say there polys. lol
  3. yes I have a large chunk of tyree armegedon zoas, with about 20-25 polyps on it!
  4. hello I have a nice pink acan colony I would trade ya for it. The problom is I dont have anyway to pick it up. :(
  5. Wow This brings back memories! I had all the above happen to me as well by those little rebbles. I hate them!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Be careful when you put them in your sump. If they die, (wich they will without a bunch of algae) I must tell you I have never smelled anything worse then a rotting turbo! Id donate them to one of your local fish stores if I were you!
  6. dont say that Dont say never my friend. Angelfish are a beautiful and welcome adition to the aquarium. That said the flame in the recent years has become harder to keep. Its hit and mis with them and I definatley wouldnt call them hardy. A good thing to ask when buying from lfs is to ask how long they have had the fish. You may be buying a fish that just arived. So it has to get over the shock of shippment. Emagine jumping on a plane to china and then 2 hours later you jump on another plane to the middle east. Very stressfull! Try and shoot for a fish that has been there for over 2 weeks. maybe even a month. Also if you like the angelfish, check out the cherub or potters. They are going to fare better then the flame. Before doing that give your tank a month to chill out, and remember some things are out of our hands.
  7. yeah that sounds like a great list. I would make it 3 or 4 emeralds. They keep my rocks lookin great. They also clean any garbage or dead skin off my sps. A porcelon might be a good adition as well. Fun to watch as they use there nets to scoop up phyto. Hey Garrett has a sick deal going on now for clean up crews. May want to check him out.
  8. Hermits/snails When I had my 55 I had at least 50 of scarlets and 50 nasarius + 5 emerald crab, 1 serpent star, 1 brittle star, 1 porcelon crab. Now while I had shells for them to grow and take over they will always battle. Some will die so you end up with maybe 1/2 to 3/4 of what you started with. I definatley think you need more then what you have in there my friend.
  9. THANK YOU! Thank you to all of you! And thanks for the prayers! Yeah im broke as well my friend. I figure even if its just a small frag of whatever it can add to the impact we can have as a team. This terible thing impacts all of us in some way shape or form, and with that we are all conected. I have contacted the national breast cancer asc. and am waiting for them to aprove my aplication. I can set up a page were we can all post coral frags whenever we can for a price and all the money can go to this charity. I just have to work out the kinks. Also remember even though this is a breast cancer charity a portion of the money goes to research for the cure to all cancers.
  10. Hmmm Okay I do some research. Thanks Kim
  11. Happy b-day Be careful with the Powder Blue my friend. I had one in my 180 and it was a terror. Beautiful fitch though, but super touchy and can be a parasite hotel.
  12. hello I know we can all donate individualy, but I was really hoping to make this a group effort though. There is power in numbers, and together we can make an impact.
  13. Requested pictures Here are the pics my friend.
  14. I have been thinking about this for awhile and thought I would bring this to light. In the short time I have been involved in this forum I have come to a few certain truths. First, we are definatley all different lol (hence the bickering) but thats normal. Next, would be that all most all of us (my self included) are very passionate about our hobby. Last, but most impotant the people I have come into contact with on here have very large hearts! I have witnessed many acts of selfless compasion and kindness. Who knows, maybe it comes with the hobby, eaither way it warms my heart. Il get to the point, I have been struggeling this year. My mother has recently been diagnosed with breast cancer and has started kemo. She recentley lost her hair and looks to be a shell of herself. She has about a year and a half of kemo left. My sister had breast cancer years ago but has beeten it and is years in remision. Its hard because through the years if my sister or mom was upset, hurt, injured, whatever it was, me and my dad could fix it. We cant fix this, we stand by and offer support and watch our loved ones in terible pain. My point is I believe we can make a difference! As reefers we are compasionate giving people. I would love for this forum to get together in a fight against breast cancer! Maybe set up a nuetral paypal acount or something and whenever people want to they could donate money into the acount to be given to a breast cancer charity. We all have coralls that we sell sometimes just to make space, maybe have a auction every once in awhile. Just an idea and not trying to guilt trip anyone into doing this. But i truely feel from the bottom of my heart we can make a difference! Thanks. Patrick
  15. Good Wormies Good worms my friend. I have a bunch of those little guys, great filter feeders.
  16. yeah cyano I had an outbreak of this in my 55 when I had it. No matter what i did, scooping it out and all it always came back in the same place. I set up a sweet filtration tower next to the tank. One 15gal tub at the top filled with live rock would receive water from one of my sumps, then flow down into a lit 15gal tote full of different macros, then down into another 15gal tote with my skimmer in it, then back into my other sump were my return pump was. Never had a problom with cyano after that. Also barley ever had to clean the walls. Alittle invasive in our living room (lol) but it made a huge difference. Thank the Lord I have the coolest wife in the world!!! (clap)

    ID Help

my OT has the same My OR Tort has the same polyps. there a deep purple. almost blue.
  18. I have read I have read many books that speak of people using aptasia in there sump as a nutrient scrubber. Including a few of Calfo's book's. I made an atempt to make a race track that I was going to fill with aptasia and xenia. worked great for a night then leeked like so I scrubbed the idea. :( I would just leave it buddy if its down in your sump.
  19. Yes Yes, I have had this happen a few times. It spreads almost like an infected limb. Ive found that if you cut the piece off about an inch back from the dead area it will stop.
  20. Wow Im sorry man, that is terible. On the clowns twitching, I have seen my male do that many times trying to entice the female to mate. He will twitch and mouth the rock next to the nem and I guess do anything he can to get her atention. Kinda like in the human world! lol I tried that on my wife once (twitch and mouth the wall) didnt work! Sorry, just trying to cheere ya up. Do you use any marine max? I would definatley recomend that stuff, also get some garlic gaurd and start soaking your food in it before you feed your fish. Really helps with imune system and apetite.
  21. Yeah Bad Looks like a form of an aptasia nem. Pests, spread fast! Kill them with joes juice!
