  1. Not to bust your balls Tony, but 2 month's really isn't enough time to be adding that many fish...But that's not what you need right now. Ok, first thing, get us full parameters of your water, then if you can, snap pics of the fish. Also, I recommend shooting a message to Barelycudy, he's the clownfish expert of the PACNW, as well as steelhead77 I believe it is, his name's Scott I think, sorry, I'm horrible with names. They're both fish experts and are awesome at diagnosing diseases. Second, you need to get ready, if need be, to set up a HT(Hospital Tank) so that you can start treating your fish. It is very important that we get pics of your fish though, it's the only sure fire way to attempt a diagnosis. We need your SG, temp, tank size, amount of rock, sump or no sump, full parameters on Ammonia, Nitrate, Nitrite and PH for starters, then if possible, a full stocklist, both corals(if any) as well as fish, which you have provided. Sorry for your loss man, we'll figure this out though, no worries. With the wealth of knowlege on here, we can get ya fixed up in no time.
  2. I'm still gonna make it, but it looks like there's going to be 3 of us instead of 2, only gonna be able to stay one day though :( But it's ok, we're going on a week long camping trip as soon as we leave SEAMAX lol
  3. Late Night Chat's open folks, to get to it, click on Quick Links, next to Forum Actions in the bar under the logo, and right click on FlashChat and open it up in a new tab. So come in on join me, I'll only be there for another 45 min or so LOL
  4. That's why I like Garrett, if you can't make it into town very often, like us, Garrett's a life saver, it'll take a day to get your stuff, but you message him, tell him what you're looking for, an even with shipping, you'll probably still spend less than you would in town LOL An on top of that, you tell him you need a CUC for a light/medium/heavy stocked 40b, an he'll come up with just the right crew for you.
  5. Scott, Garrett's shipping prices are actually cheaper than the gas it would cost to get down there, if you want, PM me an I'll tell you what it was gonna cost us, we just haven't gotten the money together LOL.
  6. That's another thing that Josh hit on the head, swap up your lights, if you're running 250w MH get some Phoenix 14k bulbs and see how your zoos like them.
  7. You want to figure on having 1-2lbs of rock per gallon of water, the more rock you have, the better off you'll be. A skimmer isn't for filtration really, not in the way you're thinking, it's to help the natural filtration your rock provides. I run skimmerless, feed daily, and have no problems, and I run a pretty heavy bioload, that's only going to get bigger lol. But, I'm running almost 80lbs of rock in a roughly 70g system currenntly, fixing to add another 50 or so gallons of water to the system, and planning on adding another 100lbs or so of rock.
  8. Last time I was in there, Ed's Reef off of Stark in Portland had a nice 40b with stand and canopy, not sure what else comes with it, but I know they had that much.
  9. Sure she does Brad, sure she does....And I think the proper term now is water pipe LOL It'd have to be a helluva smoking utensil to spend a grand on LOL
  10. I remember those now LOL They are nice, but I still prefer my Darwins :P
  11. Michael, check with Man's Best Friend in Battleground, Wa if you want, I know it's a drive for you, but Jess an I can personally vouch for them. Shannon, the owner, is one of the most respected Schutzhund trainers in the world.
  12. I was too busy drooling over Dave's pair of Darwins LOL But, I will say this, when we got our pair of Darwins from Dave about a year ago, well, 10 months give or take LOL they had the black body, but orange noses, 10 months later and our female is almost completely black and white, and the male is very very close.
  13. What you can do, since you want a killer fuge, is pick up a 40b and plumb it into the system, so that it overflows back into the tank, perfect set-up and you can do a display fuge that way. On lighting for that tank, that's easy as pie, even without MH. Get a 6 bulb TEK, which I personally own, or a 6 bulb ATI Powermodule, or they have a 6 bulb ATI Sun-something, either one is the perfect non-MH light for that tank IMO. It will allow you to keep anything you want in that tank, coral wise, with no problems whatsoever.
  14. Those look to be Picasso's man, or possibly Platinums, I get those 2 confused all the time, either way, they probably, and I stress that probably in the hopes that Barelycuda will chime in with his expert opinion, not get too much more in the way of black.
  15. Looking good man, what's the dimensions on the tank and what are your plans with it? If you need a nice sump, talk to wannareef, Charles builds awesome awesome sumps, yes, they're so awesome it requires you to say it twice LOL And on top of that, he's just a cool guy to deal with lol. I wonder if it'd be possible to plug those holes in the bottom and yank out that overflow and do a custom Bean Animal overflow....Something to think about and something else for you to research LOL.
  16. Mitchell, it may work for you, but obviously, something is going wrong with his tank. It is recommended that you keep flow 20x+, I know multiple people, who's tanks I've personally seen, who approach 100x turnover and they have some of the most stunning tanks you'll ever see. 8x flow is NOT enough IMHO, you need at least 2 powerheads on that tank, if not more.
  17. You do need a LOT more flow dude....I'm running 25+x turnover and I'm not satisfied.
  18. You could try dipping all of your corals, not just your zoos, in Coral RX or Revive or whatever it's called, it has helped me in the past.
  19. Have you thought about nudi's? You might have some zoa eating nudis or a reoccuring zoopox infestation.... What size MH are you using?
  20. You'll need to either drain the tank, drill it for an overflow and return, or, get an over flow box and return over the top, I suggest the drill option, as the overflow boxes can lose siphon. You'll also need to pick up a return pump and what not, if that's what you're looking at doing, instead of modding that tank, have you looked into upgrading to a 75 or so?
  21. I guess mark me down for a frag too Alex, please.
  22. I want him, bad lol, luckily I'm in tear down mode otherwise he'd be in the tank already
  23. No worries Ale, we've grown used to Alex, those of us who know him well enough anyways, and just automatically translate in our heads lol.
  24. I don't see one miles, those guys are nice looking, I keep eyeing the multicolor that Ed's got in stock lol Mike, the watanabie's are favorites of mine, I can't wait to have a quint of em runnin of em around in our next tank lol.
  25. Ale, I would love to see you open up a thread over here, it'd be cool to be able to learn about the reefkeeping techniques our brother's in reefing use overseas. Alex, you are constantly doing something man, and whatever it is you end up doing, you're doing it right, your tank is downright beautiful.
