  1. Lookin [language filter] good Clay, it's about time we finally saw some pics of your system LOL Franklin, nice job on the pics man, I might have to get you to come up here an take some of our system once it's finished LOL
  2. I love my TEK fixture, but if I had the money, I'd have an ATI Powermodule over my tank in a heartbeat. That's what is going to light our next tank, or if we can afford it, I might go with a Sfiligoi, but those suckers are uber spendy.
  3. That's awesome guys, now I got an even bigger reason to go
  4. According to BRS Beth, they're the same as the regular socks, 200 micron...
  5. As long as it's more than 1, it is technically a mini colony.
  6. I know the feeling Jenni, I just got done talking to Bob(Lowman) an he recommended I look at a Dart pump, so now I gotta talk the gf into it LOL.
  7. Thanks Jesse, I'm gonna have to get some once I get the new sump done.
  8. What are these mesh ones I'm hearing about? Someone must tell me more LOL
  9. Woot woot, I'm goin, might need a ride, wink wink Steve, but I'm goin LOL
  10. Jenni I hate to hijack, but after talking to a few people and doing a bit of research, I'm willing to consider an external pump myself LOL. So what would you guys suggest for myself: 3 tanks plumbed into 1 sump, a 40b DT a 30b frag tank an a 15.5g species/planted tank housing a pair of maroons, all plumbed into a 55g sump....It's got to be quiet as hell, and both the DT an frag tank will have split returns....
  11. most definitely, he was eating after I put him in the tank last night, havent seen him since lights went on this morning, but I'm assuming he's found him a hole an is chilling LOL
  12. If an external is the way all of you guys are recommending, and I admit, I voted for a submersible, which one would you recommend?
  13. Thanks Colton for the awesome goby, an a big thanks to Eddie at Ed's Reef for holding it for me for a couple weeks til we could make it into town. You guys Rock!! Thanks to Brad for meeting me at Ed's Reef an takin a bunch of our corals off our hands while we gear up to tear the tanks down lol. An thanks to Kim for meeting us there so we could pick up the corals we bought from her n Beth a few weeks ago LOL An a big thanks to Taylor(pnkrcklives) for the BBQ out at your place an for volunteering to house our fish while our tear down an rebuild is going on. All of you guys an gals ROCK(rock2) an are the reason why we're still members of the club.
  14. Putting the ball valve in front and after is strictly for safety I believe, if the pump should go out, you don't have to drain the sump to disconnect the pump...It just makes things easier...Talk to Alex(grassi) he knows plumbing for tanks like no other, and should be able to help you out, but, if you don't have room, you might need to rethink your set-up, so that you'll have the room.
  15. If you haven't seen Danik's tank yet, get with him an see if he'll give you a tour, he's got an awesome tank and his fish room is second to none.
  16. I can't remember where I saw it, but I read a super long thread about a guy who remodeled his house so that he could light his reef tank with Solar Tubes, from the pics, he had great color and awesome growth, but it's not something that works well in our area...He was in Nevada or Arizona or New Mexico, one of those three states, I think.... It's been a couple of years and many, umm, yeah, so the memory aint too great LOL
  17. Go for it my crazy brutha LOL
  18. Yeah, but it's easier for you to do that, you can bat your eyes an look all coquetish, I'm a guy, I just look retarded when trying to pull that off, so I have to ask LOL
  19. That works, but it's really going to minimize the amount of life that gets to the DT by having it drain into the sump like that....
  20. I want pics as well as well as a pm with a price possibly? LOL I want to get into chalices, but know I've got to be very picky with the piece I get initially, again LOL If I pick properly, Jess will fall in love with it, and I can then get more!!!!!
  21. I'd exchange it personally, if the stock pump is workin just fine, get the upgraded pump an put it on a bigger skimmer LOL
  22. Crap, put me down tentatively as well Kim, for one spot, 40 I can talk her into, 80 not hardly LOL
  23. Jenni I think it depends on your overflow really, but if you are lookin for a 1200gph pump give Eddie at Ed's Reef a call he hooked me up with a nice Gen-X 6000 a couple months ago n is just a cool guy.
  24. Jenni, shoot a message to Steve(Saltfinsax) he'll know somebody who'll do right by you, an on top of that, he's just a fun guy to talk to LOL.
