Scott, it's kinda hard to tell, but it looks like it might be a blue leg, or electric blue or whatever it's called...

Depending on how big your tank is, and how much rock you have, you can try draining it down to about 2" of water or so....

Clams rely on calcium for their growth almost as much as they do light, if I'm not mistaken, so yes, your Ca level could have a huge impact.

Steve, did you get a 5g Eclipse tank? We can probably swing by Wednesday if you'd like, I did a LOT of research into nano tanks, the tiny under 6g ones, before we set up the 20L a couple years ago, might be able to come up with a few ideas for you.

A 150 over an 8g tank is wayyyyy too much, the smallest tank I'd put that over is a 15.5g nano, maybe a 12, if you have a nice fan....But, this is a smokin deal, someone needs to grab this thing an fast.

Steve, instead of apowerhead, if it's that small of a nano, just use an AC70, it makes for a great HOB fuge, if modded properly, and should give you more than enough flow in a 5g tank.

Alessandro, that's a super nice system man, I'd love to get some specs on it, especially tank size and what you use to run it and what not.
