I've got this big brown acro that's the size of my hand. I bought it from rose city a while ago hoping it would color up but I can't get it to go. I know there is potential in this one, Its just not happening for me and I'm over it. Long story short, i've had enough of it and thought it may be fun to see if anyone else has the skills/luck to get this going. Let me know and I will frag off as big or as little a piece as you want. Three things though (plotting) 1. Post a picture now and then. Defiantly share your method if you succeed. 2. Don't take one if you don't have any other sps. The idea is to give these a real chance at glory. 3. In 6 months from the date of the first post, pictures need to be submitted to see any color change. I have tried all the lighting choices you are thinking of and am now running LEDs. I can tell you that I would never go back to any other lighting. Ultimate controlability, no heat and low electricity cost? Hard to beat.

In all fairness, i AM spending my saturday night making fun of vin diesel. The actor though, not the Craigslist fish salesman. :p

I saw the coral beauty nip this morning. Caught him 10 minutes later and I'm headed to the LFS for trade. Hope this does it.

Nothing negative to report about LEDs yet, I love the results. As far as planning your build I could give you suggestions but really i'm not the most qualified to do so. I would email or call rapid led and talk to there techs. They know what they are talking about and can help design a package that suits your needs. I would also recommend talking to bill at reef led lighting as well. Never hurts to get another perspective so you can make an informed decision. Cant wait to see the results!

I stopped feeding the acans awhile ago because algae was growing in the frag tank. I thought about that but the acans shrivel within a day or two in the display. I think the cage would be a great experiment to rule out angel nips.

No but I've got a cleaner shrimp. He usually stays up real high in the tank. I've got two large sea cucumbers that prowl around at night, I'm wondering if they could cause trouble.
