  1. Just wanted to say thanks to Charles for building me my new carbon reactor. Got it set up tonight and it seems to be running smooth so far. Sorry the pics are not the greatest and its a bit cloudy cause I had just fired it up when I snapped the picture. This thing is awesome, well built and is rated at about 250 gallons or so. I have a little 650 gph pump running it now. If you want a quality reactor, hit up charles. Thanks buddy.
  2. Might have been listed above under a different name but Ember blennies are sweet. I had one but lost it a while back.
  3. Wow Dave that is awesome. I call dibs on a frag when and if you do. Once I get my tank sorted out since I have lost almost all of my SPS. How much did they charge for that beauty?
  4. Read up on them, they are hard to keep and very sensitive to changes. We had one for a bit and it seemed great for a few weeks, then it just basically curled up and died. no real explanation.
  5. So I gotto ask, what store is selling you clown tangs and clown triggers to put in a 60 gallon cube? And then selling you another clown tang. Stop shopping there. Biggest beef with some of our LFS is that they have no problem telling you to put a clown tang or a clown trigger in a reef tank that is 60 gallons. Next a clown trigger will eat anything it can fit in its mouth. Seriously, find another store. But first slow down and read up on stuff. Go to reefcentral and READ. There is tons and tons of stuff for new people there. Educate yourself before you go into that store and get duped by someone trying to make a buck. I learned the hard way myself and it sucks that people take advantage of the first timers. Just my thoughts from someone that was in your position a few years ago.
  6. Good work steve. Had my share of those. Found my male bluethroat trigger in one of my overflows a couple weeks ago. He gets a bit excited chasing food. Had a blenny, a perc and a wrasse in there.
  7. Thats a great price on the G3 skimmer. I have one and love it.
  8. I had one that fried on me. tossed it though. How are you supposed to get your money back when it got thrown away?
  9. Personally it would be the people I have met. I have not personally met a ton, but the handful that I have met have been very friendly, overly helpful and more than willing to help you out or answer questions.
  10. [language filter] does any of this have to do with the first post? Nothing. That is why you are getting attention Isaac, because you brought something into a post that had nothing to do with the original post. More drama. whoopie.
  11. I have a big hippo that can be a pain, also have a pretty fat LMB. No wrasses. 4 tangs 4 clowns 2 blue throat triggers daimond gobie lawn mower blenny lots of hermits No clue, but someone likes to take my frags for a ride. might have to set up the video camera.
  12. Gotcha thinking didnt I? Anyway, so does anyone else have mysterious coral movers? By that I mean a fish or something that likes to move your frags around the tank? Some fish, or something has a thing for my frags. I find my frags moved all around the tank. In paticular I have a little milli frag that someone or something hates or loves. anywhere I put it, shortly there after it is gone and somewhere else. Today this frag got moved from one end to the other of my 6 foot tank. I brought home a couple little frags today from seahorse and saw that my milli had got moved to the sand again. Left it alone and went out for date night with the wife only to come home and find that 2 of the 3 frags I got today spread out around the tank and the little milli another 2 feet from where it was before. Im bought tempted to get a nanni cam and find out who the culprit is. I had a little frag of orange bammer zoas that totally dissapeared after something decided they needed to move them daily. Anyone else got this problem?
  13. Funny I posted something similar a while back after one of my many melt downs. Recently lost most my sps as well, everything else was fine. Sounds like it is going around. maybe its the SPS Flu. With any luck it will be better this time around. Good luck.
  14. Ah, well darn. guess I put him back on the thing then. Glad I didnt boot him. Thanks
  15. Well its been a long while since I updated this thread. Got side tracked with that 40B project. Which is now goneDOH!. Had some issues and lost both my large birdsnest colonies(sad). I opted to go the cheap route and bought those Plusrite bulbs. Had great growth for a couple months then they died off and pretty much killed most my sps in my tank. Lesson learned. So if any of you that might of got a frag of either the purple or neon green birdsnest from me(naughty), Id gladly buy a frag back from ya. So I got rid of the 40b and decided to focus on my main tank. No more trying to barely maintain 2 or 3 or 4 tanks, gonna try and run just one. Some new pics, like I said most my sps bit the farm, some are making a come back. Fish are still fat and happy, added the skunk clowns to the tank, so far they are getting along with the other pair. Full tank shot Few new things from ocean in a box. Some cool zoas and a milli colony. more zoas Some mushrooms. Frags anyone? This ones getting big My skunk pair and a bunch of RBTA's My egg laying pair of false percs Slimer, one of the few sps to make it. Some kinda of chalice. Anyone Know? Ill post some new pics of the fish later, same fish, just fatter. Got a Carbon reactor coming next week made by Wanareef.
  16. Got this little bugger and what I think is a big stomatta snail(spelling?) on my new milli I picked up at OIAB today. Didnt know if it was bad or good so I picked him off. Im guessing somekind of acro eating crab or something.
  17. +1 for Marco. 200 lbs of it. Never used BRS so cant say yes or no.
  18. Glad you got it up and running. Thank the members here for helping me with the set up. Rick, Wanareef and quite a few others gave me great advice on setting up the herbie drain. cant wait to see some pictures.
  19. Yep there great. Just got my new bulbs in. They look great. Thanks guys for putting up with me anxiously waiting for them to get here and bugging you guys daily. With any luck, all things will get better in my tank and I can get back to growing corals properly.
  20. Looks good Doran, keep us updated. Hated to see it go, but I need to concentrate on one tank for now.
  21. Tank is sold. Thanks Doran. Please close this thread.
  22. Ordered from Marcorock twice, about 200lbs of the stuff for various things. If you get there free shipping deals, you cant beat it. Its pretty amazing rock, but does need some time curing. Mine colored up nicely after a few months, but i did fight some hair algae issues for a bit.
  23. +1 for Charles/Wannareef. He just sold one in the for sale section you can take a look at his work.
  24. Looks awesome. That Monti is very nice.
  25. $175 OBO. Anyone want a ready to go nice tank?
