Yep that would be it. Sadly, due to bad advice i pulled him out of QT early and it gave my tank Marine Velvet and wiped out all my fish minus my hippo and my firefish pair.

Yeah, when I get to that point im gonna tear down one of my 55's and build the sump/refugium. Yeah I dont really think the stand will have any issues. With any luck and some time I should be able to get the stand in the house by this weekend and hopefully get the tank leak checked and up in place. Then all the fun starts. hopefully get the stand painting done and the top on tommorow after work. I need to start planning my equipment list pretty soon. Have ideas, just need to find the parts. Any suggestions on lighting?

LMAO, not likely. I harrassed my wife for the last couple months about getting a bigger tank. Finally paid off I guess. Hope to get the stand done in the next couple days and get it moved in and in place. Then Im going to form in a wall around it. Next I got to start ordering parts, rock, yada yada. Wifes not gonna like that part.(wife) If anyone has suggestions on pumps, skimmers, lighting all that good stuff, please feel free to toss them out. So much to choose from, wanna make sure I end up with good quality stuff.

Started the stand today. Got a ways to go still, but its a start.

Well I couldnt maintain myself so I did kinda unwrap it last night just to take a good peek at everything, then put all the wrapping back on. Just want to keep it safe and clean in the garage till im ready to move it into the house.

So i finally did it. Picked it up today. 180 gallon 6x2x2. Plan on making a room divider with it between my kitchen and family room. Next step, stand and start gathering all the parts Im gonna need.

I have had a cubicus for about 6 months. One of my favorite fish. Probably has the most personality of all my fish. eats right out of my hand. I have read and been told by a few different folks that while the possibilty of releasing the toxin exists, its very rare.

Sportsmans has jubs for like 6 bucks also. 5 gallon type.

Seahorse was by far the cheapest I found. Fantaseas price was outrageous compared to seahorse. The waters much cheaper there also.

Ugh, well it was marine velvet. Turns out the ember blenny I had is the most likely canidate for bringing it into my tank. After about a 2 week quarantine I moved him over because he was not eating. About a week later he died(from what I thought was not eating). now a week later my bicolor blenny bit the dust, and a clown goby. I got all my fish out and into a hospital tank. My hippo seems really healthy and no signs. My percs had the film, but seem to be taking to the copper already. My other clown goby might pull through. Amazingly my pair of firefish have managed to come through the second bout of oodinium without a mark. So my tank is going through its second 1 month no fish cycle in 6 months. This is really fustrating. One question, I have 2 damsels that hang out down in my sump/refugium. they show no signs at all. should I get them out also? Anyway, this will be some down time to try and plan the new tank I guess.

well my nitrates are down to about 20ppm. I am having a algae bllom like bad though. Green stuff this time. I clean the glass on the front and about 8 hours later again its filming up. My fish all seem fine, but my BTA is all balled up and tiny like its hiding. ALso the water seems murky. My bicolor blenny and my percs seem to have a dusting of film on them. I had marine velvet once before in a previous tank and I know that a film appears, but they also got sick and died within a couple of days. All my fish are acting normal and eat and seem to be happy. I really dont want to go through that again, that was heartbreaking. But its almost like the fish are dirty because the water seems dirty. Anyway, not sure what to do. Just ride it out and keep an eye on it. Should I do another water change?(did one yesterday)

Well do to my algae issues I have been having I have been doing about 5-10% every week or so. I had not done one in about 2 weeks until today. Not sure what POS level is?

salt= instant ocean Ro/di water from Seahorse in PDX Mag level? dont know, didnt get a kit for that. system has been up for about 5 months. Instant ocean calcium test kit, 2 months old maybe.

I had a pretty susbstantial algae bloom over the last couple days. I had a pretty bad cyno problem that seemed to go away after a day in the dark. Was clear for about a week then it boomed again. I checked my water and to my surprise Amonia 0 Nitrite 0 ph 8.2 Nitrates 40ppm Never had them that high before. I lost a neon headed sleeper goby. Just disapeared. without moving stuff around i couldnt find him. So im hoping maybe thats what did it. So anyway, I did about a 15% water change. I checked my calcium and alk. And this is where I got confused. Calcium came out at 605mg/L I thought that was odd since I have never got it above 400. I checked it again and it was right about 590. Is High calcium a bad thing? i know I did the test right. My alk came out 4mEq/L which to my understanding is normal. I have not added any calcium supplement in over a month(mostly cause I have not checked it ) Anyway, High calcium bad? Good? Should a wait a couple days after the water change and just check it all again? Thanks

What is the size of the BTA?

So I came acrossed a 150 gallon tank that is 48" by 24" by 36". Its kinda opposite what I was looking at, but the price is right. Anyone have experience with such a tank? is that not gonna be enough swimming room for tangs?

Where I have it planned might be kinda hard for 36", I wanted long because everyone has said you need long for tangs. Im a tang lover and really want to have a mostly tang type tank with lots of swimming room. Like I said im not tied to my in wall build, just kinda like the idea of it. biggest problem is I would have to have it all plumbed below since I dont have a "fish room" to build it out of.

I dont see anything about Tanks on Waves website. Is that a custom thing?

Im not opposed to used either, just have not found much. Im looking for about a 180 72 x 24 x 25 or 96 x 18 x 25, not tied to that, but just what I have seen that I like. Im planning a sort of in wall build, viewable from both sides. Im guessing its gonna be spendy and the wife says I have to wait a bit,(wife) but I still want to have things in order when I do. I was at seahorse yesterday and saw the couple 125's he had in there and they were pretty nice. Issac always seems helpful whenever im in there. Ill have to hit him up for some prices. Was also at Fantaseas today and saw a few tanks there, but since its almost impossible to talk to someone there on the weekends I didnt bother asking about them. Dont really want a cube anyway. Wow thanks for all the input. Thanks for the welcome also, been lurking for quite some time. Ive see the Envisions, very nice and very spendy it seems. I was looking at glasscages.com but the shipping out here would be ridiculous. I will take a look at the sponsor list and see what I can come up with. Anyone know what a good price on a tank would be? In the 180 gal area. Ive seen prices all over the place in what I have found so far.
