  1. No problem. Let me know if you need some help setting it up. (Count me out on any buffing work though. )
  2. These were our clowns, but we traded them to R-3. They used to host our Xenia forest which was quite funny.
  3. Im planning on doing some shopping tomorrow (Sunday) afternoon in Portland, and I could bring these down with me for a trade. We plan on checking out Soutas and at least one more shop before we head back north.
  4. Dan, I can help you move it in your house. Send me a PM if you dont have my phone number.
  5. Garrett, I wished you were much closer. That drive is a killer and burns up an entire day. On second thought, it's probably a good thing that you live far away. My wife would question why I had my checks auto-deposited to the Premium Aquarium. (laugh)
  6. I have been using a JBJ Ocean Pulse Duo with a couple of 1400s for several months now. No issues so far and they start & stop quiet.
  7. I have a nice RBTA, a 6+ head torch and some pink zoas that I would like to trade. Looking for frags of sps, acan, favia, or ?
  8. Nick just posted a 250, but it isn't square. http://www.pnwmas.org/forums/showthread.php?t=19532
  9. That's funny. My wife tells everyone it is a good thing that clowns dont get as big as salmon, because we wouldn't have anything alive left in the ocean. Big clownfish = shark killers? We had an ocellaris pair that was terrible. Every time I put a hand in the tank it came out bloody.
  10. I might be interested in the light only. How much if you separate?

    Bad day.

So we got the car back on Monday. The motor wasnt toast after all, just the turbo. Still cost a small fortune to get fixed ($4k), but that is better than $9k. We did find most of the records and it turns out that my wife went almost 500 miles over the 7500 mile interval since the last change. So Mazda wouldn't cover the repair. The better news is that the dealership replaced the turbo, flushed the engine and gave it a clean bill of health, so Mazda is going to reinstate the factory warranty and my service agreement will be in good standing for future repairs. (That is of course as long as we still follow the recommended maintenance.) That was a pretty expensive lesson. Keep your receipts and watch the mileage like a hawk.
  12. OK then it must be a conspiracy. I have been watching ancient aliens lately - maybe they are snatching up our exotic fishes. Either that, or the LFS have gotten together to develop a strain of fish with a genetic mutation that cause them to go invisible after several weeks.
  13. Must be the local area. I still havent figured out why most of my fish disappeared. Same problem as you. There one day, gone the next. I have ruled out mantis shrimp for the same reason - havent added rock in years. Havent found a long worm yet, but Im hoping to find the cause.
  14. Not trying to be rude, but Im really surprised they gave you shipping on the 2nd fish. Their returns & guarantee FAQs state they will credit the livestock but not the shipping. I'm not aware of any online company that refunds the shipping with DOA? Does LiveAquaria? I have ordered from swf in the past and have had good luck. I have had two dead on arrival, but they were in orders of multiple fish and I got immediate refunds. What kind of fish was it? Both of my DOAs were yellow watchman gobies. I feel for you, it is really a bummer to get excited for the new arrival and then have it show up dead. I hope you can find a replacement.
  15. Mike, I got my peppermint shrimp out with a 20 oz pop bottle trap. Cut off the top just where the bottle gets to be full diameter and invert it back into the bottle, so it looks like a crawdad trap. You may need to cut off the neck to enlarge the hole before you assemble it. Bait the trap and wait. I got 5 out this way.

    Bad day.

No I dont have to worry about them. I may have paid a tiny bit more than if I drove a few hundred miles away, but I got exactly what I wanted and the piece of mind that they will back any issues I have. I have been a Chevy guy most of my life, and my last rig was a Dodge. Never owned a Ford before - This is my first. When we went shopping I wasn't even considering them. My buddy told me that if I was shopping all the brands that I had to go and at least look at them. Glad I did, they are much nicer than the new Chevy. We almost bought a Tundra, but the Ford has a better interior, more room, and the larger box. Plus I really wanted to back the manufacturer that didn't have to get bailed out by the government.
  17. Antz in her Pantz... That is such a great name. Congrats on the win too!

    Bad day.

Thanks for the suggestion. I am going to do that tonight. My wife called the dealership yesterday and talked to the sales guy that originally sold us the car & service agreement. They called us back today and suggested the same thing. After several more conversations with the sales person and service manager, it seems that they want to help us out, but their hands are somewhat tied with corporate Mazda. I'm still hoping they will make it right.

    Bad day.

This is the wife's new ride until we get her car deal straightened out. Im still stuck with an old beat up Dodge until we figure out something.
  20. We had the exact same thing happen to ours. Fat & happy one day and absolutely gone the next. Never did find out what happened. I figured that something killed it and drug it under the rocks. Im 100% positive that it didnt jump. Garrett can hook you up with a new one. We picked up our replacement last week. It is jumbo size and show quality. You cant have a reef tank without a Midas.
