1. Well it took ten days but my tomato clown eggs have just started hatching. I gave them some rodifers and put them in the dark. I thiought an egg was just floating around at first but it was a fish. I was beging to wonder if they were going to hatch cause I have an eel in my 90 gallon tank the parent clowns are in and he eats the eggs if he can find them. So I took out the eggs the day they were laid, and instead of daddys fins they had an air stone. But it was the only way. I know they say not to take them out of the tank till their eyes are silver. But I guess I was lucky. Im just a proud new mommy, specialy since they are my first attempt. My husband said I couldn't but I did. Right on my kitchen table too....

3. also dont put them in with anything else that eats copepods such as a wrasse
4. i have many mandrins and If a fish bites them the attacking fisht will die. I had a loinfish try to eat one and he died with the mandrin in his mouth. If you buy a mandrin always ask if they have seen them eat. Even if you have copepods some mandrins wont eat in captivity. they will starve to death. its very rare but I have seen them bred so if you can find a tank raised one than you will have better chances
5. My clown hosts it his rbta and her hairy mushrooms. she just goes back and fourth all day. she took her anemone acrossed the tank just so it is right next to her hairy mushrooms. Id say they do strange things
6. my clown has been with another fish, but the clown jumped out. very sad (one crispy critter) they had been mated before. so now I need a new boy

clown wanted

So I have many clowns in many tanks but I always got them together at the store. I have one maroon clown for two years and I was thinking about putting another in there with her. Possible try to breed them. I know I should try to buy it smaller than the clown I have. But I dont want them to fight. What are some other hint I should know to get one. maybe there is some one who has a small boy in town. I live in springfield eugene area. mines definately a female. She is at mating age.

FYI

Just discovered today that liquid sunshine sales live rodifers real cheap. They got a guy who breeds.
10. So my tomato clown laid eggs again. I have them in a two and half gallon now with no filter just air bubbles. I have rotifers and phyto plex ready to go. What do I need to know? The guy at the pet store told me that he heard that the clowns when they hatch dont like light and they will swim to the bottom. Is that true? also when will I feed them? and how often? also I know they are suppose to hatch when their eyes turn silver. should I have the eggs in darkness or light. is there anything special I need to know now that daddy clown fish isn't around to move water with his fins onto the eggs? I'm ready to learn.
11. So my tomato clown laid more eggs. so this time I got about ten of them out of the tank and in another container with no filters. I want to see if I can get some babys. What do I need to know? please fill me in.
12. I have the most terrible time with grape caulerpa. Once it gets on a rock it takes over. Even my star polyps hate it. Im finally getting it under control. Even my crabs woulnd eat the stuff. I think id rather have hair algae in my tank than that stuff. though some other algaes do well in my tank. ive had sea lettuce and im not sure what the red algae i have is called but t looks like lettuce but bright red, and every once in a while my crabs eat it and keep it in check, and it keeps my crabs from eating my corals.... just I wouldnt recommend any algae that has vines.. STAY AWAY
13. So I had a rose bubble tip anemone split to a small rbta and so i decided to put it in another tank with a maroon clown. ive had the clown aka (fatty) two years now. My maroon clown had been housing in a bunch of hairy mushrooms. very aggressive when I get near the mushrooms. Never an anemone has he had in his tank. Almost instantly he went into this rose bubble tip. He took it acrossed the tank to where his mushrooms live, and dug a hole in my sand and placed the anemone in the hole. He didnt even get use to the anemone. my clown just went right to the anemone and is housing in it. I have many anemones in many other tanks and I have never seen this behavoir before. Not him going instantly into an anemone or digging a hole and putting an anemone in it. Has any one else witnessed this before?
14. When my split it took a long time. I saw two feet and one mouth for almost a month and yesterday mine split all the way..
15. So my rose bubble tip anemone split again. third time. Its about silver dollar size. I'm so proud...
16. Hey liquid sunshine in eugene has babys right now. A month old. Just out of the cardinals mouth. Tank raised.
17. ya my female wont leave a rock alone for the life of her. I've wedge, glued, rubberband, etc. she seems to like to redecorate the tank. I've seen her even break my rocks before. We just let her do her thing, cause my husband loves her.. Or she'd be in the toilet by now. She also likes to draw blood, when you clean the tank. But I have tons of tanks and clowns and never seen anything like this before. My family says I live in a fish store. I just think some people have dogs and cats and I have reefs..
18. So I have two Maroon clowns in a 20 gallon tank and I have been fighting an evil hair algae out break in my tank for a month now. My husband kept accusing me that I wasn't getting all the pulled alge out of the tank and it was ending up in the filter intakes. I was getting all the algae and I didnt get it. So today while watching a movie, I looked over and both my maroon clowns were pulling hair algae off the plenom and swimming it over to the filter intakes. They did this many times. I Got my husband and showed him. Has any one ever witnessed something like this before? And my husband said clown fish were dumb...
19. I have tons of them in my tank and I have never seen them on any of my corals. They just seem to stay on my glass.
20. So I got this one inch maybe two inches size carpet anemone two weeks ago, I took this pic the day I got it. Its light tan with short tenacles. whats its name? Just so You know he looks alot healthier now too. his mouth is closed he's footed and he's eating. I have him right now in a 20 long with a 90 gallon ehiem canister on it and 4 t5 lighting so hes real happy. at least till he gets bigger.
21. So I am looking for corals hard and soft just about anything around town here to buy.
22. I haven't had a problem with ick in two years. I discovered the illussive quarantine tank. and the rule to never add pet store water to my display tank. when I had my out break it took me two days to caught my angel and two clowns. I lost one of my clowns. He was so bad I youthanised him. I did a fresh water dip, which Id normally wouldn't do but I thought my clown was a goner then I put them in a 5 and 1/2 gallon tank with mal. green in it. The clown and angel lived. For twelve weeks nothing went into my display tank. never had a problem since... Also a good Idea is to always make sure your tank stays at a stable tempture. In the summer if you have to, put frozen soda bottle in it to cool it down. and in winter use a heater
23. Id love one I live in springifield I dont have anything to trade right now, I just fraged all my stuff for a friend who just made his tank a reef, but food for them and time I have. and I have eight tanks
24. Would you take fifty for it and can I get a pic
