  1. Brad, nice to meet you and to see your amazing tank! Thanks for the corals, they are all doing great!
  2. I'll take a green milli, and maybe the tri-color if you still have it when I pick up the milli... When's a good time for you?
  3. Tim, did you and Frank get yours from the same place? I want exactly what you have.
  4. I know its a long shot, but does anyone have a Pink Lemonade frag they would be willing to part with?
  5. This sounds VERY familiar! I got a Melanurus Wrasse 2 Sundays ago. Just like yours, he hid the first day, and has been swimming around ever since, except at night when he would hide in the sand. He typically burrows into sand about 1 minute after lights out. Last night when I got home (when my lights were still on) he was no where to be found. I looked and looked, but couldn't find him. I even feared the worse I looked behind the take with a flash light. He is usually up by 8am or so, but not this morning. He didn't come out today until 11am or so. Very strange. I was relieved to see him! I'm sure yours will show its self soon!
  6. Im designing/planning the skin for my steel stand, and decided I would like to use bamboo plywood for its uniqueness and color. I found it at Crosscut Hardwoods in NW, but its $200 for a 4x8 sheet. Is this the going rate, or is there somewhere in the area I can find it cheaper?
  7. Frank, your tank looks GREAT!!! Makes me miss my SPS... :-(
  8. Well, a combination of a lot of stupidity on my part. I stopped maintaining the Zeovit system, then one of my T5's burnt out & I didn't replace it so I lost half of my lighting (since Im running Ice Cap Ballasts, if one bulb burns out all of them shut off), then by that point I was so depressed about the tank that I stopped doing water changes & maintaining Cal/Alk/Mag. Pretty much a worst case scenario for my tank, and something that was completely in my control. Now I am going to get my Cal/Alk/Mag back where they need to be, start my weekly 10g water changes, get my lighting all back up and running correctly, then keep it stable for a couple months before I jump back into coral. I'm going to try to keep it as maintenance free as possible...pretty much how I ran my old tank...Calcium reactor (once needed) and carbon, along with weekly water changes. I'll address P04 if needed with GFO. Im going to run it like I did my last tank, which had great success. It required almost zero daily maintenance and I had great color and growth. On the bright side, I haven't had any crazy algae growth (besides Coraline all over the tank), and the fish are doing great.
  9. Sorry I kind of dropped off the face of the planet! I had a very busy last 6 months or so with work, and I got kind of burnt out on my tank after the long build and very high maintenance demands of Zeovit. I didn't stay up on the zeovit system, and ended up loosing a lot of my coral. :-( The tank is still running very well, and fish are doing extremely well. I am in the process of converting the tank to a much easier to maintain system. Once I get the parameters back in check, I'll start thinking about replacing the lost SPS. It's been a hard/depressing 6 months watching my pride a joy take a turn for the worst. I'm happy to be motivated about it again though!
  10. I think you are fine with smaller tangs. People act like tangs grow to full size in a year...they don't! Look for a healthy small blue or yellow tang (2 or so inches). Avoid the really small quarter sized babies, they rarely make it. I had my blue and yellow tang in my 36g for nearly 2 years before I upgraded to my 90g. They were always fat, healthy, and happy!
  11. I keep my cal at 420, alk 7, & mag 1300...
  12. I keep mine at 1.025 (per refractometer).
  13. Randy, Here is a pic of my colony: My frag rack is in a slightly shaded location...so the base color isn't quite as bright. I just moved the frags into a brighter location to help them color up. I will try go get some pics of the frags later today when my lights turn on...
  14. No, its not a monti, its an Acro...
  15. Well...I'm an SPS guy... What do you have?
  16. I have several frags of Sunset Milli...They are fully encrusted on frag plugs. If anyone has a frag of Pink Lemonade, and would be interested in a trade let me know!!! Ryan
  17. Wow! Looks like you are off to a great start! Any fish in there yet?
  18. I used to spend all of my money on building honda/acuras...I built several naturally aspirated & turbo motors over the years, and spent WAY too much money!!! My last Integra had a built 2 liter (sleeved, pistons, rods, P&P head, GT35R turbo, built to the wall). It was my only car, and I got sick of ALWAYS having to work on it & worry about it being stolen. I ended up parting the motor out & selling the car... Now I drive this, and could not be happier! Stock & Reliable!!!
  19. Well...fortunately I haven't put any of this build or livestock on a CC... :-) It is getting a bit excessive. My gf saw that frag list last night and started asking a few too many $$$ questions. Guess I need to slow down and let these frags grow out! I'm picking up a couple ORA corals from Jason, then I'll be done for a while...
  20. They are running great! I had to replace the motor on one of the cause a snail got stuck between the out put and the side of the tank so it did not allow the output to rotate. I have been very happy with them though!
