  1. That is how I killed my zoa collection when i got sick of them. they naturally prey on zoas.
  2. Not a date issue, weekends in general, just thinking hypothetically
  3. If I was going, i would bring Spam Musubi! Top blade is tough, you would be well served to marinade it on the ride over. It is traditionally a braising cut.
  4. Not sure on your budget, but this is what I would put in there if it was my tank peppermint hogfish blue potter's angelfish (expensive, the orange ones are much cheaper and just as cool, this is a mix of the two) picasso clowns and a bluespot jawfish (if you have the substrate for it) if those are out of your price range you may want to look into yellow watchman goby blue assessor and black cap basslet and a nice pair of perculas ***NOTE lots of the se are jumpers, so you would need to have a plan to contain them***
  5. two left. missed the first half, was at the usa vs world hoops summit, but watched the second half from the club level lounge, final 3 minutes were killer.
  6. I boght several high end corals from him a couple of years back, but have had no interactions with him recently... always found him to be an upstanding guy. Thought he had gotten out of the hobby a while ago.
  7. Ahh for some reason I thought it was tomorrow. If I make a trip out to 5 guys this week I will see if I can get a hold of one of you guys in my area.
  8. Wish I had seen this sooner, I have an Elos phosphate test kit someone could have taken.
  9. I would love to see our oregon coast over run by acans and peppermint angels
  10. I have been working up a recipe for grilled spiced chitlins, so whoever holds the pork category, that is what i think we should do that day.
  11. It helps because Zoas have a hard time drinking orange juice unless you have a really long straw.
  12. Krux

    Puppy pictures

I am too lazy to register there to see the pictures, so i call for a laze off
  13. I would win with my George Foreman grill and a stack of sham wows
  14. Reef Optix 3 250 watt DE pendant for sale, 75 dollars (used, but in great condition) Also used but new looking dual 32 watt pc ballast with endcaps and free used actinic bulbs for 50 bucks This is what they looked like over my cube, halide was a 14k phoenix They are mounted in an oak hanging canopy that is free to whoever buys the stuff. Buy both for $100.00
  15. If jason doesn't want them, i will take them, and can pick them up in oregon city (excuse to go to 5 guys).
  16. I've wanted to do this for years, but the drive is just too long for me. Did a lot of work as a research diver for Scripps, Woods Hole, and worked for USGS and MMS while I was a diver for the UC system. Maybe some day when I retire I can get into some aquarium diving as a volunteer. Jealous. May look into taking the habitat diver module for fun some time though depending o the duration of the program.
  17. If your salinity is low, you are also probably low on alk, cal, and mag
  18. Yaquina Bay is my favorite place, the wrong direction for you, but they are abundant. Also raking cockles is productive there
  19. I have had a 5 guys burger 4 of the last 6 days
  20. The meeting and project sound great, but keep in mind planning ameeting for months in the future, for a project that takes a considerable time to cure, may push it out of your time fram for this specific reef, unless you are shooting for christmas time you will have to source some home made rocks that are already underway
  21. I agree. Imho zoas are still red, blue, or orange zoas... naming all these corals is simply to aid in trading (rarely the main motivation), owner ego in needing to have something named after them, or to increase value for rip-off artists. These things are collected in huge mats and exported all over the world. There is no such thing as a unique zoa, the rest of it just went somewhere else... on top of that, there are millions more identical polyps in the ocean that will come in on a later shipment. If you like the concept of a named coral TKD go right ahead... it should be for fun though GRATS om the first frag!
  22. The NR gb was $270 for mp20 and $380 for mp40, so $375 seems pretty good
