  1. I thought the same thing! We could have had a meeting right then and there! BTW...you guys do ROCK! Oh....and how's the phone Jordan? Kris
  2. My dogs have ended up with much worse! As for me, I had to chop a bit of my hair off thanks to super glue! (you have seen my long, curly trusses!) I now remember to "tie it back" when working on the tank! Kris
  3. Curtis...we will miss you. Sounds like the Salt Lake thing is a go? Kris
  4. Those things are the bugg'ers fo sho....I blazed EVERY piece of rock that had them on it before it went into the 110....that did the trick! If you can't move the rock...boiling hot lemon juice injected into the stem seems to slow them down. Kris
  5. I really wish I could come up with something witty to say....but you all have beat me to it!
  6. Trust me Eric...I have glued the wrong thing to the wrong thing many a time! Kris
  7. It was the good news about our club being involved with the Tri-cites confrence! Kris
  8. I still only have the point and shoot camera that takes awful pics. I will probably make another short video...I like doing that! Kris
  9. Hey all...woke up really under the weather today. I got to work tomorrow so I am going to hang at home and get some rest. I have been going and going and going lately! Hope you all have a good time. John has some exciting news! Kris
  10. Blaine, I will take a tube or two! PS, hows the tank coming along?
  11. I agree with you 100% Mark. I need to kick the kids out when I try to glue frags! I do think that the most success I have had is to glue the frag to a soft piece of putty then glue the putty to the rock. I still find that they knock over easy as well! To bad encrustation doesn't happen overnight! If everything could be like the clam and just wrap its filaments around the rock in 15 minutes....then the turbos and urchins could go happily about their business! It would be fun to have a group practice session...trying different types of glue and such. I guess will need a good supply of acetone to remove left over glue! Kris
  12. We all know that Joel and Jordan are great guys! I just wanted to thank them again for all of their great (non-biased) advice, their awesome collection of fish, frags and inverts, their consignment area, their dry goods selection and most of all...their ability to put up with all of us when we use there location as a meeting place! You guys are the greatest. Kris
  13. It was nice to met both Shawn and Curtis today! I got a rainbow acan and some sic orange zoas! Thanks a bunch! Kris
  14. I was nice to meet you Curtis! Good luck with everything upcoming! Hope to see you at Mike's for the next meeting! Kris
  15. Ok... I suck at this! Is it something that just takes practice? I have tried a million and one things...a bit of glue, a medium amount of glue, a lot of glue, gel-cyanoacrylic, liquid cyanoacrylic...(scratch) I have tried glueing them to small plugs of "mighty putty" then glueing those to the rock while it is still soft...and yet..... BAM!!! A slight bump and off they go! Next disscussion...how to get a frag out of a tight spot! ARRRRRGGGGGGG! (flame) I have heard a lot about IC gel...and then I have seen a bunch on dollar store stuff. What I really, really, really want? Someone who's a pro to come glue my FRAGS! No JK...I guess input and information would be good. Kris
  16. My clowns are non-hosts at this point. My anemone moved from one side of the tank to the other! It is a tiny thing, but is well away from the domino fish that used to host it. If your ok with it on the walk about, and you haven't any pumps or powerheads it can get consumed by...leave it be. Kris
  17. I am all for getting to choose your own "title" and having a bigger avitar after posting a certain amount. Of course, membership should have its perks... Kris PS...can I be Queen of Everything? Oh, wait, I already am
  18. I have one and willing to try it on my glass...I use these things daily around my house and they work wonders. I have some tough algae on my tank...perhaps this is the key!
  19. Welcome aboard Sherri! Not only will you find helpful individuals here on the forms, but you will find a wealth of information at our meetings. If you are intereste, let JManrow know and he can sign you up for evites to our meetings. This month we are heading to Keizer to vist Mikes tank! We also have OCA and Hatfield marine on the upcoming agenda! Once again, welcome aboard! Kris
  20. I have a few frags of devils hand. Let me know if interested. Kris
  21. Curious...what will they eat when tha aiptasia is gone?
  22. Its simply named "Acrylic Buffing Kit" or "Acrylic Scratch Removal Kit". It contains several "grits" of cloth like paper...and I am talking 1600 or 2400 and finer grit! I picked it up locally for about $30.00. I am sure that Tap or Multicraft Plastics would have one! The work pretty good...but it takes a bit of elbow grease! Plus, if you use it inside the tank, you have to go in small bursts so the dust gets filtered out. Kris
