AS for jumping Boise, it WILL happen if the ducks win out. wont matter thogh because if the ducks win out they are headed for the rose bowl. And unless theres a few upsets at the top (more than a couple) then it looks like the ducks will get to lay a whoopin on a patsy big 10 team this year. Iowa is overrated. how do you give up 5 INT's against indiana? and still win the game? LOL. I wouldnt mind seeing iowa fall flat on thier faces and lets bring boise to the rose bowl for a rematch. wouldnt be pretty this time I believe. Oregon week 1 and Oregon now is two different teams obviously.

took him to local vet yesterday. diagnosis so far is possibly a ruptured disc. gave him steroid shot and sent him home with pain killers and oral steroids. now we just wait and see and hope its not a surgical matter. thank you for all your help. If he needs more extensive medical help I will definately follow up with all your suggestions to see what my options are. thanks again.

I need a good vet that will possibly take payments....anyone know any? my wifes little dog is having issues with his back and it may be something serious which we cant afford (surgery) or something simpler like some steroids and pain meds. Preferrably in the mid valley area (albany/corvallis) but at this point willing to go almost anywhere to help the little guy. thanks in advance for any help.

it would work. depends on the reflector you use for the MH is the key. you want a wider spread pattern to maximize your Mh coverage. otherwise you would end up with a broght spot in the middle.

So I have a 60 cobe that I am going to be setting back up in the next few months and am unsure of my lighting because of the 24" depth..... I was running 2 sets of 24" T-5's with ind. reflectors. they are the tek knockoffs that hello lights clearanced out last year. workhorse 5 ballasts. good deal for what they were but thinking if I want to continue to use them i need to upgrade to some icecap ballasts. I am not sure if I want to use these again or maybe sell them off and get a 250w MH DE pendant with t-5 supplements. I want to keep mostly softies since I love the movement and possibly a clam or two. had clams before and loved the colors but they were under a MH in my biocube. I dont want to limit myself If i decide to get some SPS in the future tho. Gonna drill the tank thru the bottom and back for a closed loop when I set it up again as well. i will add a pic to show what I am working with. any comments or suggestions?

I think the club DOES have the right to ask someone to remove something from thier sig, avatar, etc. I think he overreacted a bit to it and that is the reason for the ban imo. As far as the stuff that he claims to be offensive in the out of bounds section, thats the reason its called the out of bounds section. There are a couple of jokes in the jokes thread that are middle eastern oriented and are probably off color/bad taste. I have posted a couple of jokes in that thread but they arent racist to the best of my knowledge. I have a bunch of jokes that I know would offend quite a few people and thats why they didnt get posted. I try to stick by the old saying that if you wouldnt say it in front of your mother then you probably should'nt say it in public. I dont think there is anything excessively inflammitory in the jokes but perhaps people could be more sensitive to others when posting things, even in the out of bounds forum. If I were from a middle eastern country I could possibly take offense with a few off color jokes in there but im not so I didnt get offended. Overall I think the situation got blown out of control and cooler heads will eventually prevail. I think if people want to argue and provoke others they can stick to ReefCentral....lol

I am actually surprised that he has a sponsorship with the club still. I have been out of state for about 2 years and see not much has changed with regards to this particular business. When I left oregon the last time there was quite a stink over his business practices with regards to pricing and fair competition. And it seems his business practices havent changed. Based on who made the inital posting of this thread I can see that there are still some unresolved issues and hard feelings towards this particular store. Now, with this new situation coming to light its even worse. Its really sad whether it is true or not. I have only been in his store a few times before I moved and havent been in since I have been back. But I see its about the same. With regards to his sponsorship or ties to the club I agree that if he is convicted of these charges then the club should revoke any connection to his store and him personally. Not that it will change him or his business practices in any way if nobody from this club gives him thier business.
