i get around 18-20 mpg. pales in comparison tho next to my 99 honda civic (stolen) that got around 33-35mpg.

well its not your temp then. I run between 80.5 and 81.6 and my hammer is growing like crazy. Mine lieks high flow (its about 3 inches in front of a koralia 1) but they are all different as to what they like.

I bent my own acrylic into a "u" type shape. I just sandwiched it on a workbench with plywood and clamps, then used a heatgun(slow) and a torch (fast!) and let gravity do the rest. after it had made a 90 degree bend i let it cool, flipped it over, and did the same to the other side. then i used a router table to make teeth but a dremel will work too just not as clean. HTH

I agree. After all we ARE trying to play mother nature to some effect. We have done well at recreating a natural environment in a confined space but nothing lasts forever. Even real reefs are continuously crashing and rebuilding due to unforseen events (toxins, hurricanes, etc....)

I might be getting a good deal on a 110g cube tank. now I gotta figure out lighting. (scratch) dimensions are 28x28x31. I want to go with 24" T-5's but worry about depth. am thinking about a 400w halide but also worry about heat. trying to avoid a chiller. any help appreciated.

jsut FYI. mine seem to pulse more the higher the flow. not blowing it off the rocks flow but pretty strong flow. hth.

I have a torch, hammer, and monti cap in my 29g nano as well as a crocea clam and I dose with a 2 part by brightwell aquatics that I picked up in redmond. I mainly am looking to keep up the trace minerals and add some calcium for the stonies. I want to switch my salt to tropic marin reef salts and then I may not need to dose anymore. Right now I am using catalina seawater from the LFS here.

I like the design miles! but trusting silicone to bond always scares the poo out of me! lol Mind you, I've never had siliclne fail but it still scares me haha!
