  1. My cali tort is a very slow grower, compared to the Oregon tort. Though part of the reason might be that it's starting to get shaded by a monti cap. Anyone in need of a large piece of ultra-green monti cap?
  2. Sounds good! The sooner the better! My frag racks are too full of stuff as it is! If there is anyone headed this way from Eugene, maybe they can bring them along.
  3. So, I came home from the meeting and did some tank work, moved a couple of pumps, and broke off some of the pink polyped Tyree monti cap. They are about thumbnail size. $10 each Anyone interested? Here is one of my amazing pics (NOT)! These are green, with pink polyps, not brown.
  4. Thanks, Bryan! Could you send me your phone number in a pm, please, so I can add it to the emergency phone list?
  5. Thanks for all the opinions! I also have a frag of cali tort, that looks more green, and grows differently (fatter). And I've noticed that things look very different when it comes to color, depending on the lighting.
  6. Yes! Thanks a lot, Douglas! It was awesome! That door prize coral looks great!
  7. Okay, the picture posting problem seems to be firefox related (even though it worked fine with FF for years, up til this morning). I can post pics and use all the other buttons in IE. So here is the questionable tort, or actually two of them: Both are about midway up under T5s, in a 120G tank.
  8. Yay! Thanks, Clay! Would any of you take on several sps colonies, if things start not looking good for whatever reason? And if they don't make it, I wouldn't hold it against anyone, of course. This would only be for worst case scenario!
  9. Thanks! Appreciate it! Could you pm me your phone number please, so I can start making a list for my husband? Thanks! And fortunately, I sprung for flight cancellation insurance, but hope it won't come to that! See you tomorrow!
  10. Nope, it's turned off for this site. And I didn't have any trouble this morning, but now it's a no go, no matter what thread I try posting a pic on. Went back to the frag post where it worked this morning, but can't post pics there anymore either. And it isn't just pictures. None of the other buttons work for me, either. No smilies, font changes, anything.
  11. I do, but for some strange reason I can't post pics anymore. Whenever I try the attachment button or the "insert image" one, absolutely nothing happens. There *is* a pic in the Classified thread, if you wanted to look over there.
  12. Yes, it's the one I got in Albany. I also have a Cali tort, and it does look quite different (color and growth pattern).
  13. After looking at some pics online, I'm now starting to wonder if what I bought as an Oregon tort actually *is* one. Most of the pics show a solid blue coral, while mine has some green. I have a pic in my frag sale thread, but for some reason it won't let me add one here. I'll give it another try later on.
  14. If things go as planned, I will be in Europe for most of the summer (from mid-June to late August) and I suspect my husband and daughter will run into one problem or another during that time! Things always seem to happen the second I'm gone for more than a day. So, I'm hoping I can line up a few people who are going to be around this summer, who would be willing to come by and help, if anything happens (can pay in frags ). And maybe a couple of people with room in their tank or frag tank, who could home my corals, in case disaster strikes! I have several large sps colonies and a bunch of smaller ones, plus zoas, rics, candy cane, hammer etc. I'm looking forward to the summer (I'm visiting my parents in Germany, and will then spend some time working for food and a place to pitch a tent in England, though WWOOF, to check out if we want to move there in a few years), but am very worried about my tanks! Oh, and wish me luck that the volcano behaves itself! I booked my flight with Icelandair one day before the first ash cloud disrupted air traffic, and will be stopping over in Iceland both ways. DOH!
  15. Hi Douglas! Can you please post the time of the meeting again (is it 12 noon?)? And are we all bringing something (food etc.)?
  16. Yes, I can bring them along to the meeting! And just to clarify, the branching superman monti is really hard to keep "blue". In my tank it's more like a greenish base with bright orange polyps at this point. A pic of it is in the post with just the one picture! Edited to add: under actinics, it is much bluer. See pic of Green Bay packers, and then the mother colony of the superman (last pic). Thanks Clay! And yeah, I can't ever seem to get a pic of what the corals actually look like!
  17. Well, I *am* hoping to line up several of you guys to give advice or rescue corals if things get bad! But yeah, I need to go see my parents, and then I'm going to work in England for a little while, checking out what it's like there. We were thinking of maybe moving there sometime in the future, though now that our daughter has a scholarship for the UofO, it won't be for a few years. I'm very worried about leaving the tank for 2 1/2 months!
  18. By started, do you mean mounted? As I said, they'd be fresh cut, on demand. The only ones that have been fragged a while are the branching superman monti frags. All the corals have been growing in my tank for months, some over two years. You tell me what size you are thinking of, and I can probably provide it. Any frags would be at least an inch or two, most probably more than that.
  19. It's the Tyree blue-polyped cap. And right now I need the money! Am going to Europe for the summer.
  20. More pics! There are also Armor of God zoas, and Green Bay packers. $5 per polyp or 5 for $20 Will take pics of the zoas and a few other coral tomorrow. Edited to add: Here are a few more pics, all taken this morning under T5 actinics.
  21. My corals are growing! Especially the pink and baby-blue polyped Tyree caps, the branching superman monti, bright green monti cap, bright orange monti cap, Tyree Apple berry, blue-tipped tenius, tri-color acro, blue and greenish-silver mille etc. etc... Maybe a small Oregon tort frag or two. $10 for any mille, tenius, branching superman monti, green and orange monti cap. These would be freshly fragged, on demand. The Tyree caps and Apple berry for $25-35, depending on size. Small Oregon tort frags $25 each for about an inch. Could bring frags to the meeting on Sunday.
  22. I'm coming, and have responded via evite, too! Got to find the time and address again, though.
  23. I had to take out 90% of my rock plus corals to get out my scribbled Rabbit fish a while ago. Tried everything else before, but just couldn't move the nets freely with all the corals in the way, and even though the fish was big, her still managed to hide among all the rock work.
