2 of our monthly meetings will be tours of local members tanks. Check the calendar for the dates. One will be tanks north of salem. (portland and vancouver people) And one will be south of salem. If you are interested in hosting please pm me. I would figure that we would put maps and addresses on the evites and put a time frame of like between 2 and 4. You would then have groups of 4 or 5 people showing up for a few minutes and then move along to the next house (unless you are a real gabber!!!) No refreshments offered or needed. I don't know if trading would take place. Up to the hosts. I am sure that I will add more to this as the time approaches closer. If you have any pointers or things I have forgotten post here or pm me. We could probably also set up car pooling spots so that only one car shows up at a time with several members in it. I would be up for that.

pm me if you are interested and I will compile a list. I am assuming you fellers are wanted to be toured!!!! let me know if anyone else is also interested. I will post a thread.

I like zooanthids but a Pistol and Goby combo would really rock. I agree with getting rid of the damsel. You could also throw in a cleaner shrimp (not literally). Have a great time. Welcome to the hobby. Don't be afraid to ask questions. WE were all beginners once.

I would add a lawnmower blenny to the list. Just a cool, helpful fish that is very mellow. Do I assume you are going to put an anemone in with the clowns? If so, I would try to get the clowns and anemone all at the same time so that you know you have a hosting pair. I think your list of fish looks good. Rainsfords can also get along with each other so you could get more then one if you wanted. A mellow fish with not much of a bioload. And beneficial also. Also keeps its color as it matures. Just me 2 bits. I would be patient in adding them. It makes the tank more fun when you add stuff every once in awhile instead of major additions. I would get the angel as the last fish.

Actually I think we have about 16 months planned. A lot can get done if there are enough snacks offered!!! LOL

They have me seated next to someone who pays attention and is not distracted by me so I think I will pass the class. The only other problem is that we are learning on Macs??!!!! anyone interested in doing a mystery zoo trade at the june meeting? Requirements: you put a zoo frag about the size of a quarter in a bag for each person interested in participating. The zoos should be something better than the basic brown colored ones. Post here if you are interested and I will let you know how many bags you have to bring in on meeting date.

we are in the works for planning a year long calendar. thank you for your patience. We would like each lfs to pm me 3 dates that they could possibly host. I will then put together the calendar and let you know what date you will host. (no confusion this way ) In order to get to a regular, once a month meeting time and plan we would like to go with the 3rd Sunday of each month and a starting time of 2:00 pm. For those of us driving from the south it makes for a long day if the meeting is any later. If you can't live with a 2:00 time then sign up for a 4:00 meeting during the summer months. (would really like to see the 2:00 time so there is no confusion) I would also like each LFS to give me potential topics that they could speak on. After all, you people are the experts. Also I am big on education. So far I think this will be an exciting year to come. We have lots of plans for the future. Thank you for your support.
