Sorry about that. I run at 1280X1024. I will look into shrinking it as soon as I can get to it. Other than size, what do you think. Navigation should be much eaiser. Sponsors now have rotating banners on all pages. We are looking for a hack to incorporate the rotating banner on the forums, but I am not sure it would work. Not in it's present form anyway. My favorite is kalk paste. Just mix kalk with a little water and make it the consistancy of a lotion... not watery, but can hold its form. I use a plastic syringe ( no needle ) and blast them with it. Never had one come back. (threaten) And I have a brittle star in my tank. Never had a problem. Jay

All I can say is that I have been using Ocean Pure for about 6 months now. I had a very bad hair algea problem when I started using it. I used Kent previously. I can honestly say that I do not have any hair algea in my tank any more. Other than the salt change, I have started using a calcium reactor and have installed a chiller. I'm not sure which item made the major difference, but I am very sure that I am not going to change a thing. I can't stand hair algea. If it ain't broke, don't fix it. (fingers) Jay

I've got 2 of these and they are great units. Just don't overload them ( 15 amps ), they can get quite hot when you overload them. But then again I am running about 24 plugs in my garage to run my tank. It is all about balance. (scary) Jay

I could be wrong, but I thought you only put foam under Acrylic tanks. I have 3/4 pink insulation foam ( hard stuff ) that you buy at any home improvement store under my 240. I was under the impression that Acrylic tanks had to be fully supported and glass tanks only needed to be supported on the edges, unless it is drilled on the bottom. Jay

We are going to try to find a hack that either alerts us of all the new members, or e-mails one of the BOD when someone new registers. That way we could have a "Welcome Wagon". Send them a PM and give them a tour of the forums. Ask them to post a thread about their tank. That way no one gets left behind. Everyone will be welcomed as a member of the website. It would also be useful to invite them to our regular meetings and tell them about the PNWMAS. Jay
