AquaKey
Never seen so many yellow tangs in one place before, and that was just one section of the tank, they were everywhere. obrien.david.j
What a stunning display! Haven't been to the aquarium in a few years, will have to make a point to re-visit.
IntoTheMystic
Yup, they repurposed the largest exhibit in the main building from temperate to tropical a while back and it's looking really good these days. Before the transition, that exhibit was Oregon Kelp Forest. I had the privilege of feeding that exhibit three times a week during my internship. The repurposing was largely possible due to a large gift from the legendary and longtime OCA supporter Al Gleason, who stepped up on more than one occasion when the Aquarium's future was in question. I encourage all you fishheads and coralfiends to make a pilgrimage to Oregon Coast Aquarium soon and support this civic jewel during a time when gate receipts and attendance are down. Now is the best time of year to come, as crowds are light, the galleries are mostly quiet and you can stroll the place at a leisurely and enjoyable pace. Well done, AquaKey. Great post.
