spectra
Does HD or Lowes carry these? I forgot to look today and am wondering. I think Parkrose has them but will probably pay double.......... Edited December 27, 2015 by spectra

Blue Z Reef
Yep, parkrose had some for 1" and smaller I believe. Once you get above that you'll probably have to order them.

BoringDave
Bought my gate valves from ACE hardware. My local one had them in stock up to 1 1/2". I think it's made by Lasco? But do remember made in USA sticker.

Jeramy
George is good for the odd part not stocked by the big box stores . I have had issue time to time with communication with the employees who have no imagination when it comes to non traditional plumbing. Like when they told me there was no reason to partially close a drain it either needed to be open or closed not in between I was trying to track down a small true union gate valve but all they had at the time was ball valves which I did not want none the less they are a good resource. Bicyclebill
How much was a 1" at gm? Those things are expensive online, and I've never thought to look local.

I just tossed the receipt yesterday but I know it was under 20 bucks. I am thinking 13 or 14 bucks if I remember right.
Higher Thinking
I've gotten my valves from Ace. They carry threaded and slip. Usually around $11-$14 depending on size.
