Anyone have a nem safe colander? Or any ideas

My small rainbow bubble tip has been surprisingly happy with the 1st small rock i put him on and stayed put, but now since the frag tank gave way, i had to move him a few times and he has now left his rock.

The problem that i'm having is the colander that i bought when i first got him has very small slits with "sharp plastic burrs" that his tentacles inevitably go through and it acts as a knife (sad).

I have a couple more weeks until my new frag tank is done and ALL my coral is in the 40g sump so i cant really have him running amok in there. (scary)

Is it possible to keep him happy and safe for that time in a colander?

Current situation:

thanks for the idea Sean, i have some of that from Joann's. I'm looking for something more sturdy, there is a large piece of Tonga that is kind of holding the current colander still and in place, any ideas on a reef safe plastic basket with a safe flotation device?

But that mesh will work in the emergency i'm in, thank you :)

Here's a link to something Mattv built for me. I'm not sure what I did with it. I may have donated it to TFT but check with MattV he may have something that you could use:

It worked really well keeping the maxi minis separate.

Thank you Kim, yep pretty much something like that that will float.

Thanks guys! I've got a few more nems on the up and up. Waiting for the day my sunburst gets this bright. Soon!

Chris, if I was closer I'd bring you a net pot. I stop by our local hydro store once in a while and stock up. The different sizes work great for propigating, overflow covers pump intakes, etc.
