bswe22
I see some really nice looking corals being auctioned off on Ebay. I was just wondering if anybody has purchased corals off Ebay. What was your experience? Good or Bad? Thanks
matty
If you look up Golden Basket on Ebay they are local. They have some nice coral and inverts and you dont have to pay shipping if you can get to Tigard to pick up. They are a great seller! bswe22
That is who's auctions I have been looking at. It's good to know he is so close.
Bigjohnwoody
I also think you might be able to work out discounted shipping with him, if you talk with him and let him know how local you are. He's a great seller and I highly recommend Goldenbasket.

beardedsmurf
can't find a seller on eBay with the name golden basket (or goldenbasket), and golden_basket is in New Jersey, not local. Do you have link to their auctions?

bswe22
For those of you that have ordered corals online, which I have never done, if I have the corals sent to my work, will they be ok in the bag all day until I get home and start acclumating them? (scratch)
Emerald525
It depends on what you get. Zoas for the most part can be pretty hearty. I have heard of some people (not me) who will even do 2 day shipping on zoas. I personally don't like to risk it when it comes to such expensive items. The other thing you have to realize is with most corals if they are DOA you need to send the seller a picture within an hour or two.
wanareef
I wouldn't do it, most corals that you get thru the mail (FedX- USPS-UPS) get handled pretty rough, why risk flushing that $$ for the corals and then shipping down the toilet
MrBret
I spy with my little eye, something that is PURPLE and green. 2 days left. If i'm bidding against you send me a message

Derbird
He doesn't do local pick up' date=' but he will ship anywhere in Oregon for $15[/quote'] Hum...... That's too bad. Its about ten miles from where I live. But I can understand why someone wouldn't want to have a bunch of strangers going to their house all the time. Do you think they would be OK in the bag for a day? I guess I could run home at lunch but then I really wouldn't have time to acclumate them very long. Maybe 15 minutes. I would like to acclumate longer than that. Any ideas?
BrianB
Acans are pretty hardy. I have never acclimated my acans. I dip them in a iodine solution for 10 minutes and.into the tank they go. Also I have never lost an acan.
