  3. The tank itself is about 3 years old. Everything was quarantined following humblefish's protocol prior to addition, and the last addition to the tank was about a year ago. I'm not sure the best way to price things, but I've been getting a lot of interest in the purple tang, anthias, zoas, and frogspawn. Please feel free to make offers, I hope my pricing is reasonable. Located in North Portland Purple tang - $200 Clownfish pair - $100 Anthias - $240 for the harem zoa rocks - $50ea Frogspawn colony - $100
  4. My life situation has changed over the past year and I no longer have the time or space in my home to give my tank the attention it deserves. I wish it weren't the case, but I need to start getting rid of my system (and hope to set up something a bit smaller in the near future!). To be honest, this whole process feels a bit daunting - just the idea of catching the fish out of my tank to sell them off sounds near impossible, and most of my corals are encrusted onto rocks...Any tips, advice, or help would be very much appreciated! I assume I'll need to move all my corals first, so I can actually catch the fish... Best offers for all livestock accepted Left to right along the bottom: - Stylopora? - single frogspawn head - rock covered with red/yellow zoas and a small patch of branching GSP - rock covered with lots of branching GSP - small rock with some other GSP/clove type coral - large rock with two kinds of montipora, some other GSP type coral, some orange zoas - medium rock with orange zoas and blue/green palys? - large rock with brown/green palys, some blue zoas, blue sponge - medium rock with purple/brown zoas and ultimate blastos - medium rock with lots of branching GSP - medium rock with lots of mushrooms - kenya tree? - purple plating sponge - Incredible Hulk Leptosirus - green favia - stargazer? - some other favia type coral - big head of frogspawn, maybe 10 heads, 8" across? - stag coral - lots of RBT nems (easiest if you take the rock it's on with it) See the pics, ask questions, I'll try to add more/better pictures! 5. I can hook you up with a good size chunk!
  6. I can hook you up! I'm not sure I'd call it 'clean', but it's not full of bristleworms or anything like that, no parasite problems in my tank. You could rinse in RoDi and refridgerate it for a while to kinda clean it if you wanted.
  7. I recalibrated mine and it's seemed fine ever since!
  8. The timing definitely (very probably?) coincides with the latest update I recently applied. I recalibrated the probe, let's see what happens!
  9. I'm having the same issue - 3 temp probes agree I'm at 78F right now, the apex probe says 79.2 and I keep getting alerts.
  10. Ah, connecting the scrubber intake to the skimmer lid vents...I'll try setting something like that up.
  11. I assumed that running my skimmer intake line outside would solve my ph issues, but I still can't keep ph >8.1 unless I ALSO run a CO2 scrubber....and then I have to change the scrubber media out every 3 or 4 days? This seems excessive, am I doing something wrong? I'm surprised how quickly the CO2 media is getting depleted while pulling fresh air from outside.
  12. Bump - make me an offer if there's anything you're interested in! I didn't inventory the pile of powerheads and heaters, let me know if anyone is interested in these small bits
  13. Downsizing a little bit and clearing out the collection of stuff I've built up over the last while! I'm done adding new fish to my system for a while, time to tear down the QT setup. 14. This site has everything you'll need to know https://humble.fish/brooklynella/
  15. Just an update - corals are recovering and growing, phosphate is stable around .09 ppm without any gfo
  16. I'm planning to move to a new city in a year or so and I'd like to bring my 120g aquarium with me of course. I figured I'd ask for thoughts and tips now while I still have plenty of time to plan ahead. What's the process look like? Prepare all the plumbing and new space very carefully so everything comes together quickly (no waiting for pvc cement to dry, salt mixed and up to temp, everything measured out and outlined, etc), put all livestock in rubbermaid totes with circulation/heat, drain the tank, breakdown the system, move everything, install the sump and tank in the new place, fill with with water, pray the leak test passes, add the livestock....this process sounds like it would take forever with lots of opportunity for things to go sideways...
  17. I had an ah-hah/face-palm moment when I realized that I've been neglecting my over-complicated refugium. I removed all the rubble and vacuumed out TONS of detritus. I'm hoping this constant source of organics breaking down was causing the problems. I'm giving the tank time to run stable for a while to see how things respond, so far I have no further coral losses.
  18. I have one available with a painted back and bottom, glass lid...in north portland?
  19. Quick update - I turned off the nopox, removed the carbon, GFO, and UV around 2 weeks ago, and started lowering the alk. Parameters seem okay (alk still a little high at 8.3 on the hannah, 7.6 on the triton) except Phosphate is 0.43. Do I really over-feed that much, or is there something else going on here? No apparent change to coral growth. I need to get this phosphate under control, then I'll do some Oceamo testing. One more note - it's running ~3gal/day auto water change...
  20. I'll also take a close look at all my equipment - reef octopus pumps, titanium heaters, apex probes, and a JBJ chiller...ICP OES came back pretty clean though high on iron (probably from too much gfo)
  21. Great advice, thanks. I've turned off the nopox, carbon, gfo, and uv. Now it's running socks, chaeto, skimmer, and 2 part, we'll see how things develop.
  22. Thanks for the tip, synbiotic looks interesting. I'll take a closer look when this bucket of tropic marin pro is out.
