  1. @Emerald525Ya, I have the Tunze 9001 that I have currently running on the 40breeder setup. Not sure if this fits in any of the chambers within the Nuvo 25 lagoon. I have the Nuvo20 and it does not fit in the first or second chamber. I have seen people mod the back chamber to fit them, but keep in mind these nano skimmers really need level water, so if you do plan on modding in the back chamber getting a really reliable ATO is necessary.

Shoot me a DM if you are interested...or better yet send me a FB message because I am rarely on this forum.

Did you follow the steps listed under the section titled "Emergency firmware update procedure (Bootloader ready on LCD)" found here?  https://pacific-sun.eu/firmware_update/

Those were the exact instructions I was going off of and they don’t work. Or their firmware they provide doesn’t actually work.

I keep getting error codes with it and we will see whether their support team can actually assist.

  4. Hey reefers.

I have been in despair need of some dosers on my systems now that the SPS frags are getting bigger. Awhile back I bought a random box assortment from a guy who got out of the hobby and there was a Pacific Sun Kore 5th Doser in it.

When I first got it the device seemed to work easy enough but didn’t have a need for it then. I have tried to set it up and it’s suck in a firmware upside bootloader mode and there seems no way out of it. Their support team is garbage. Just reaching out to see if anyone has experience with these dosers (as they seem to be high quality even if the software setup is crap).

Or if anyone has any unused dosers available that I could buy to get up and running.

    Either way, thanks!

IME, hybrid may not be necessary anymore if using LED fixture 2 years old till current.

In the past T5 supplementation used for more coloration and avoiding shadow effect and growth because not enough royal blue in the fixture.

Most of uptodate LED Fixture design consist of enough royal blue, more so compare to the older unit so T5 supplementation no longer needed.

For aesthetic purpose adding T5 will be a great enhancement.

@goldenbasketreef I do agree, Rudy. I don’t think it’s “necessary”. But as I plan on SPS, I like the idea of additional spread to combat shadowing. Might as well start the tank with the lighting will be in the tank long term and also help get more par down to the bottom of the tank.

Since you asked, I pulled out my PAR meter and took these measurements just now.  My ReeFi's are 8" above the water surface.

    All channels at 100%
    1/4" below water surface:  902
Top of rocks, 6" below surface:  604
Sand bottom, 18" below surface:  273

    Normal daytime peak lighting:
    1/4" below water surface:  632
Top of rocks, 6" below surface:  404
Sand bottom, 18" below surface:  165

Here's my normal ReeFi lighting schedule where those last numbers were measured:

Thanks @SuncrestReef, that is awesome to know. And are you currently running two fixtures?

I would most likely want to use a minimum of 3 fixtures going perpendicular to the peninsula. Also planning on dual T5 Blue+ on sides as well for a hybrid setup.

  8. Thanks for the info on here guys. Been thinking about lighting setup for my 120g (standard 4x2x2) as my AI hydra 52s have LEDs burning out. Could be cool to think through something different with lights. Other option was 4x XR15s.

Has anyone tested the ReeFi par output on max?

Any chance you’re going to have any soft openings?

...Or need any last minute help with getting the shop ready? I live right down the street and always happy to help lift stuff, paint, etc. if you have need.
