Selling the tank setup as well? If so want to send me the deets?

Yes I definitely will, I still need to put together what I actually want to let go of and what I want to hold onto so I will let you know in the next few days here I have a Red Sea reefer 350 and a Innovative Marine Int 112 gallon lagoon just so you know as well.

  2. Hello,

Time has come for me to not have a tank for a little while and unfortunately have to part with all my fish.

3 paired blue chromis they have been in the tank together for 3 years-$50

4 inch long yellow tilefish got it from a tank breakdown with the tomini tang  about a year ago and has been eating normal frozen with everyone else in the tank-$75

2 ft snowflake eel been in the tank with most of these fish for year and a half now eats from tongs-$60

3 inch clarkii clownfish had some eye issue and was able to fight it off but one eye is still a little messed up from it otherwise swims around fine and lives in an anemone in the tank-$40 with about a 4 inch anemone that is green with pinkish tips

3 inch black cardinal- $25 super friendly will eat big chunks right out of the pipette

    White tail tomini tang- $80

This is the rest of the fish from my Red Sea reefer 350 I am finally finishing breaking down. Really just want these guys to go to good homes that fit them I’ve had them for a long time now and they’re healthy established fish thanks for your time!

  3. I just appreciate all of the testimonials that people post up and how if I post up a very specific question people take the time and read it and give me good advice. I’ve met some solid people through here but I think @Oregonic helping me with the set up of my 112 lagoon was really amazing! There were little things that he could tell me from experience with the tank that helped a lot for this experience.

I guess the part that worries me most is I see the filter pad on the bottom of your DI section turning brown, same as your sediment filter. I usually prefer the micron ratings of my filters to be like 5 for the sediment and 1 for the carbon block. Usually any product water leaving the membrane should be overall very clean (like 1-2 tds, with your input being only 8, it should be 1 max) and free from sediment, so that is odd yours has brown in it still.

also, how is old is the membrane? Are you showing 1TDS max coming out of the membrane and going into your DI?

also, do you use a flush kit prior and after running the unit?

Thanks for the message, I agree with you that is weird. I wonder if the fact that the last time I actually changed was last October now that I looked at my notes. That is a very long time I know but to me it just seems like more of the DI and other filter besides the white one should be utilized rather then the 1st one getting that insanely nasty that I miswrote as the last one in my post. Also I do not have a flush system I let it run until it stops coming out of the tube completely with it down so gravity pulls as much as possible out then I run it for about 30 seconds before I start collecting each time, I am turning it on about every 4 days or so.

Holy cow you pulling water from a swamp?!? 🤣

So I think something is wrong, are your filters in this order? Sediment -> carbon block -> Membrane -> DI

If not, there is an issue. Looks like you may be using your DI before the membrane?

Typically you should change sediment filter if it gets bad like that sooner, Carbon blocks are usually every 6 months, DI is as it is consumed and you start not reading 0 at the end. Also, do you know what micron rating they are?

Yea I definitely waited to long in this one haha but the water reads only like 8 tds or something from the tap the sensor reads. But yea I am honestly not sure on the flow of the water I think it goes in that order, this is how it’s set and you mean the micron rating of that last all white filter?

  6. Hey there I have this rodi filter and I’m wondering if it’s not utilizing the filters enough it seems like it’s using the last one that is the soft material too much because that one is disgusting but the 1st one and second don’t really look utilized. Let me know if you know anything about this or if maybe I should just change the one that is super dirty and leave the other two for longer only problem is they are purchased as a pack with all 3 filters. Thanks for any of your time 🙏🏻

  7. Hey there I have this torch coral head that bailed off the polyp from being irritated by my eel too much I believe. I caught it in the tank and put it in a mushroom box with some rubble hoping maybe it could attach. I have had torch corals in the past lose heads and end up popping up on another piece of live rock and growing randomly. This is a purple torch with some gold in it so I was a little frustrated when I saw one of the heads was off floating around the tank but still pretty cool nonetheless that it’s surviving for multiple days like this and getting smaller at night and still expanding during the day like normal, any tips to getting it to heal and attach would be great I guess but I think I am doing all that I can? 🤷🏻‍♂️ Have a good day people!!

That's awesome! My black storm/black snowflake eggs hatched last night. I have found raising clownfish is kinda addicting.

If you are local and those babies end up doing well I would be interested in a pair!!

Your best bet is to just take it to a saltwater shop asap tomorrow. That's super unfortunate..... Especially for the eel.

I'm assuming you have salt? You could at least do a partial water change so it's not just wasting away in the shipping water.

lazy man here... like others have mentioned just worried about the eel as they are the reason I actually even got into the hobby. From your post it seemed as though you didn’t really know how to use the forums or much to do with saltwater. I was wondering if you were even seeing the posts replying because your best answer is right here from higher thinking on April 2nd, you should’ve taken it into a store where someone knows exactly what they’re doing considering you don’t have a saltwater tank setup and a tank takes weeks to cycle to keep fish in. Housing an eel in a little bucket with an air stone/heater for weeks at a time won’t cut it unfortunately. It may be still alive but not for much longer I bet. It seems like you just wanted to get some money back for your mistake instead of truly caring for the animal which would’ve been the taking it into the saltwater store option in which they will offer trade in most times for in the future👍🏻 Not trying to be rude just breaking down what it seems like from your posts, hard to interpret someone’s intentions fully over a forum!
