  1. haha.. Exactly!! I have to maximize my time with the corals... breathe in the salty goodness.... drool over the eye candy... I will follow the speed limits when I have to get back into the hospital. Just kidding... sort of....
  2. Interesting.. when I go to upload a video, my iPhone only allows me options for uploading pictures. I can't seem to see the videos in my bank of photos/videos? I tried also directly going through the videos and uploading to Tapatalk, but that doesn't seem to be an option either.... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Oh no!! Was it those horrid cameras on beaverton hillsdale highway they put in?? I have almost been caught in those too. I HIGHLY recommend using the Waze app-- I seem to have a bit of a lead left foot and that app has been extremely helpful in giving me notifications about where the speeding traps are (and sends warnings). It is deep tragedy to not be able to buy corals at Cuttlefish!!
  4. Hmm... I can't seem to get my phone to upload a video! How did you do that?! I love how content the corgi looks in the garden!! Corgis are such awesome dogs. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Haha.. sounds super fair. That's the way all the websites do it, right? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Wow!! Holy scoly! What amazing colors on it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Okay, now for pics of my two munchkin furry ones: Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. I just bought one from Markvo or I would be all over this!!
  9. haha.. so very true!! I still wonder what possessed my ancestors to move there. still can't get over how much fun this will be! I seriously don't get out much. LOL
  10. I have to say, this looks like the best meeting *EVER*!!!! I can't wait!! (we never did anything half this interesting in MN, but don't tell them I said that. Also could be because it was frozen outside 70% of the year).
  11. Awesome!! I will put it on my calendar and await updates. Do we usually start at one place and end at the same? Anything we should bring?
  12. Theoretically I have that day off (unlike the previous meeting ). Would be interested in joining if there is room!
  13. Here it is! Finally got it up and cycling today! A special should out to Mark for the live rock and apex and Dan for the lights! Today was pretty basic-- just making sure everything worked and getting the system aquascaped and full of water. 14. And totally random-- but in explaining to my parents earlier this evening that I intend on getting a pair of nice clownfish for the tank, my mom insisted that I name one of them "Bozo". Although I was a bit hesitant at first, seems like a Bozo and Binky would be fitting for the tank. Otherwise, Krusty would be a very portland-appropriate clown name.
  15. haha... Appreciate the kind words! I was lamenting the loss of the second lamp, but agreed that this will give the room a new life! Plus lately I have been spending every free minute with the tank upstairs, so this will allow me to glean some pleasure with being downstairs again.
  16. Thank you!! I can't wait to get this thing cycling. My smaller tank is quickly running out of real estate. Will try to start a tank thread once I get more than a few hours into a pre-made setup.
  17. Thank you!! I credit Jeff to cultivating my desire to get this tank. Every item he mentioned was rightfully echoed in the reviews. I have never seen such a well designed sump and plumbing. I can also use my overkill skimmer and 3000l/hr pump that were sitting out on my garage, so works out very nicely!
  18. Excited to get started on a new tank! Just arrived home late last night from two weeks away. I wanted to give a HUGE shout-out to Jeff at Cuttlefish Corals who has (for almost the last two weeks) been so kind as to order, hold on to, and then deliver my new tank! The light is just a cheap light from ebay that I was planning on using in the sump. On wednesday I hope to go and pick up my new ReeFi light from Daniel! I have also been meaning to give a shout- out as well about this Gonipora also from Cuttlefish Corals (hands down one of the most beautiful corals I have ever seen): While I was away I was able to visit one of the shops in north LA and pick up this guy:
  19. Haha... sure, Jeff, sell out of all of the amazing aussie corals while I am on vacation! lol... I cant wait to see what you get in stock yet! And may have to take one of those green hammers off your hands if there are still there when I get back in town...
  20. I do have to say the lighting looks beautiful.... how big is your nano?
  21. Jeff 100% has some of the best selection that I have seen! Kim, that looks awesome!
  22. Any chance you could hold on to the pink birdsnest for me?
