Yeah, the Salem Petco on Commercial has a fox face, blue tang, and yellow tang. The fox face and the yellow tang look "ok" swimming around and not totally emaciated. The blue tang on the other hand was laying on a rock with its gills going 100mph and paper thin.

Chlorine is the main thing to worry about isn't it? I'm in Tigard, and they were using chloramines up until a few years back when they switched to chlorine.
Catalytic carbon filters remove both chorine and chloramine. Supposedly 99.9% effective.

Several people run pre-filters (carbon, etc) and large DI canisters without running an RO unit. Rudy @ @goldenbasketreef runs his make up water that way. Here is the discussion:

Used 34% H2O2 as a reagent in some water chemistry tests in the Navy. A guy cut his finger and asked if he could use it. I said "yeah sure but...." Screams of pain coming from the other guy. "you need to dilute it first!"

It will work as long as the frag tank is higher than the sump AND your sump can handle the extra volume if both main and frag tank return pumps are turned off.

Was in Orlando for vacation and went to the Publix in the same strip mall and saw WWC as we were pulling out. Hit the brakes and turned around only to find out they had not opened yet. Still had paper on the windows. 😞

They just block a the overflows to raise the level. The level is normally a little over an inch from the rim. I have it about half inch now to get a bit more volume and looks better to me.

I designed and printed two of these little guys to raise the water level a tad in my IM 25 Lagoon. If anyone wants the STL let me know. I printed them in white PLA to test will print them in black PETG now that I know they fit.

From what I can find it is 1/2" ID. Could get the 5/16" version and use some boiling water to get the tube on. It'll never come off unless you cut it off.
