This has been floating around for a couple days. Brian was trying to get rid of the Apex. He said it was in great condition.

Received some of the equipment today from Brian. Well worth the trip. The prices were very reasonable and I think we both left happy. I'd do business with him any day. He definitely knows his stuff.

Tank is acrylic. You can not cut a rectangle in glass. Well you can try but will end up with many pieces I used to work at a glass shop many years ago and the only way to get a hole is to drill.
The only way I could come up with is use a grinder for the edges and file it from there. Acrylic makes more sense.
@Salty
What do you plan to do for the stand? Custom build it? It sounds like you have a plan.
-
Huh. I can imagine it is pretty hard to cut a rectangle in the middle of a piece of glass. I don't even know how you would do it.
Can't wait to see it come to fruition.

Those triple RFA shots are striking. Good job.

I have never seen an overflow in the center of a tank. Where did you get it?
-
Wow I feel like I am already there. Hope this coming event can be just as exciting.

I don't know how the sock is mounted, but you might be able to raise it off the water line more. That way there is more surface area out of the water and gravity can do its job.
Although, filter socks get dirty. You have to clean them often. I clean mine every 2-3 days.

Go Rocky Mountain Frags!

Glad you could make it.

Jameco and Digikey are good websites to order electronic parts from. Jameco has the option of ordering LEDs one at a time, while Digi-Key is usually many per single order. On a quick search, they both had high-powered LED's in many colors.

Welcome to the forum.

Alright. The time is coming near. After looking through the SOLVE Oregon page, there are three cleanups happening in Lincoln city on the 26th.

It seems like they are all from 10am-1pm. Would anyone want to carpool or meet up at one of these locations?

My socks need to be washed. They are looking a bit crusty.
*Removed comment. I like clams, don't get me wrong**
Edit:
Your eel has only one eye.
My tank is full of angels.
I'm leaking.

That's awesome. I didn't even know you win a frag for POTM. Congratulations!

Looking to buy a used Aqua Illumination Director. I realized that with a regular timer, on restart the AI's come on full blast. A royal pain when you are starting out at 20% intensity. If there is anyone out there that has one lying around, I would love to take it off your hands. Thank you.
