  1. The ones I got on Amazon have the electric auto focus! Can't beat $50 vs a $500 macro lens lol Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Yeah that's why most people struggle! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Yeah getting the camera is one thing, using it well is another lol! Took me forever to get the hang of it hahaha Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. All extension tube shots. They are awesome! They work similar to how a macro works. Same principles. I don't really keep sps but I have a couple pieces, I'll try tonight. And I'll take a few pics of my equipment. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. I use a Nikon 3400 with the stock lens (18mm-55mm and 75mm-300mm) But I use extension tubes for macro shots on my 75mm-300mm ($50 on Amazon). No need to buy a $500 lens when the extension tubes work just as well. I also use an Avast Porthole which is a must in my opinion. They work well and I'm very satisfied! As for how the camera does, I take all of Northwest Aquatics coral photos so check out their website and here are some personal pics I've recently taken. I think the camera takes great pictures personally. And they aren't the clearest because when I transfer them to my photo via Bluetooth on the camera (super handy) it makes them only 2 megapixels (camera shoots 24 megapixels). When done on the computer they are way better. But being able to just connect your phone via bluetooth for texting photos is so nice. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Feel free to take me off the list corals are growing well and have great color. I don't want to check the par and start messing with stuff haha! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  11. Does anyone else notice the high end monti in the top left...... for sale? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. Very normal! Zoas can morph quite a bit from tank to tank. Lighting and water levels all can affect zoas. Lighting is the biggest one for sure. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. Thanks for the Latest Bert lol. They do go through a lot of changes so it's hard to keep track of it all lol. Worth the wait though, great Corals and fish at PIA! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. West Linn is their PIA location. Not sure the other address, I only know how to drive there lol! That is true Exodus! They did lock the doors and only do wholesale. But they got another location for wholesale and have plans to open their doors again in Tangent. Or so that's what they said when I was there about 2 weeks ago Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. They are also know as Northwest Aquatics which is thier local shop in Tangent (near Albany) and yes, they are a sponsor on here! Owners are Colby and DJ! The May meeting was actually at their breeding facility Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  23. Welcome! Bret (Paradise Corals) is a solid guy so you are in good hands up there! My biggest tip is to keep it simple! Over the years I've tried complicating my tanks and they always fail. Just stick with the bare bones and you'll be good. Do your weekly water changes! Never skimp on lighting! I run tanks with no skimmer, hardly any rock or other filtration and coral is growing good. The one area you can't skimp on is lighting because the corals need it to live haha. I highly recommend spending the money to get nice light. Or get an ocean receive LED unit. Myself and others use them and have had great success. At only $200 a pop they are really awesome. They are also a local company in Beaverton. Anyways welcome to the addiction!!
