  1. I'd get a membership to vote for Brad.
  2. I prefer to sell. But what do you have for trading?
  3. In my rush to get this up... I forgot to post tank info Biocube 29 drilled with a 15 gallon sump. Carbon and GFO reactor Skimmer (no clue the brand. Came as a hand me down) Radion XR15W Pro Vortech MP10 set extremely low. Tunze Osmolater for ATO I dose Continuum Aquatics - Strontium, Iodine, Calcium, Magnesium, Alkalinity about once every other week on the weeks I don't do a water change... Every week if I can remember. Water change is 5 gallons every 2 weeks. I keep the temp around 82. Right now they are on a rack that sits mid level in the tank. I will be moving them to the sandbed once I fix an issue with cyano.
  4. 2 frags in the front. Zoa has 3 and a baby Paly has 3. Hard to see the third but he is under there.
  5. Just picked one up. A beautiful zoa for sure!
  6. Thank you RedAcan. I did some googling for pictures of green cyano and I would say that is exactly what it is. I'm going to treat this weekend after my water change. IF I went the route of keeping lights off for 3 days... How problematic can that be for coral? I have some highend zoas, favia, and a rainbow alveopora. I would hate for things to die knowing what I paid for them.....
  7. I have some green algae forming in mats on top of my sand. I don't have anything sand sifting right now... I can clean my tank and syphon the sand and the stuff will come back in a day or two. I run Rowa phosphate removal in a reactor. My question is... How bad would it be if I just went in daily and mixed up the sand to try and bury the algae so it can die off without light. The stuff does float up when it can be blown off of the sand but it comes up in small pieces that I have trouble getting out. I haven't had much luck removing large chunks of it. It is getting worse daily and where it was concentrated in one spot it has now spread. It will cover up the stuff I have in the sand bed and not let things open up. Best solution?
  8. Not even close. I was ready to pay for the full thing for everyone just so we could get it without a bunch of weird phone calls about who was going to do what... They were only going to hold it for a week. It came down to someone trying to add on a bunch of corals to the group buy thus raising the cost thus causing only 3 people left in. Everyone got so annoyed with it that we abandoned the idea. I called to try and get it once it got abandoned but the guy said he was going to keep it for himself to grow out since it had so much interest.
  9. Best local source for acrylic sump manufacturing? Looking to have a custom sump built.
  10. I want in still. Sorry too many random posts on this so I stopped following. I'm in Beaverton. Trying to figure out when I could get down to you. It might be best if mine gets shipped to the Vancouver group. If you have both available I'll do both.
  11. I'll take a frag of each. Can you PM me your phone number so we can co-ordinate.
  12. I'm down for a growout. When do we start and how much?
  13. Lower the vortech to the second light. 50% on a biocube is too high. If you want to shoot me a text to 972-832-4083 I can swing by sometime next week and measure the salt with a refractometer and bring some with me to pour in if needed and show you the best placement for your vortech. General help with some newbie stuff.
  14. It looks like the stalk of a pulsing xenia. If it came from Upscales I would venture to say that's exactly what it is. They have it all over their tanks.
  15. Watching the live feed. Your flow looks WAY to high.
  16. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. I used to do some webwork for Jack Kent. He is the guy who created Kent Aquatics/Continuum/white labels the brightwell brand to them (Hence the similar looks to their sites). My Continuum does the exact same thing... once I get about halfway down. I haven't seen any negative effects from it and my alkalinity tests the same. If you dribble some around the rim it crystalizes as well. Again... I haven't noticed any negative effects from it.
  18. Nice! I did dart frogs. I built the website for http://dartden.com. Had Benedicta, Vanzos, and some reticulata. Awesome hobby. Was too much work though. This hobby is much more expensive... But not as much work.
  19. These are pending. Brad - Bought some highend favias. And some misc stuff from a vendor on ebay.
  20. Bought more corals... Therefore I'm up to 3 boxes now. If you ship these are the styrofoam boxes you ship with... Come pick them up. I would hate to throw these away. Kris
  21. Had several people interested but no one came to get any. Still have a bunch. These are easy to catch in the tank. First come first served. I've got dozens of these guys ready to go.
