Does anyone know how this treatment may affect anemones? Ordered some the other day trying to figure out if I should remove my Giganteas before treatment

I would be surprised if it hurt your anemones. People routinely use Cipro on anemones and this stuff is similar to Cipro.

    Great prizes!

This is what happened to my Indo "gold" torch under ReeFi Uno 2.0 Pros for 10 months now.  No need for heavy blue or over saturation photos.

Oregon Torts also do very well under Uno 2.0 Pros.  Took a few months to get going, then growth is pretty good.

Funny you mention that, as I am going to bring SIX Oregon Tort frags to raffle off at this meeting. As I am also running ReeFi 2.0s, I think it is safe to say that Oregon torts do very well under Reefis!

I signed up when the original post came out but I no longer see my name on the list. Were notifications sent out? I’ve been checking periodically. Do I need to sign up again?

We're sorry about that. I can lend you my own par meter if you need one sooner. Send me a pm.

I'm pretty sure my membership is up to date.

As a test I changed my username to a number on the form and it cleared the error.

Thanks for letting me know. I fixed that field on the form. Can you please try again? Sorry for the hassle. The person who set up the original Google form left the club so we have not been able to edit it, so that is why I am re-doing it.

    Thanks!

Thanks for the feedback.  Glad to hear you have it, and can check how it's growing out.

    Anyone else?

I don't think many people have it. It was never really distributed while Jake was alive. Now ACI aquaculture has it, so it should start to show up at retailers within a year or so.

After reading Michael Paletta's article on ReefBuilders for Managing Tissue Necrosis, I decided to up my dosage from the 7.5ml strength (Eli's recommendation for BJD) to something more inline with Paletta's for Arcobacter. I'm now dosing 500mg / 160 gallons (or 50ml).

It may also be worth noting that I have shut off the carbon reactor, UV, and ozone. I am only running fleece roller, skimmer and algae scrubber for filtration during this treatment.

Be careful, as Paletta had to fight a dino outbreak after using his high dose.

Great presentation, I was considering the triton system on the tank I'm upgrading to (120 gallon). I was previously using 3-part without trace elements on my nano. This method seems very promising at a lower cost.

I should say that dose the ATI Essentials Pro 2 part, in addition to the Captiv8 products.

The ATI Essentials stuff is like Triton, but comes in fewer bottles and is cheaper.

You can find the ATI 2 part at prettyucj any of the local shops or online.

  9. @reefrun I uploaded my presentation slides  to this post.

You can download the Captiv8 ICP calculator tool here:

    https://www.captiv8aquaculture.com/copy-of-captiv8-home

You can purchase supplements and the $20 trace element pack that I mentioned here:

    https://www.saltwateraquarium.com/reef-blueprint-isol8-minor-and-trace-element-pack-100g-captiv8-aquaculture/

You can purchase Oceamo ICP tests here

    1) ICP-OES:

    https://andremueller.e-junkie.com/product/1758006/Reef-Moonshiner26230393Bs-ICP-OES-Test

    2 ICP-MS

    https://andremueller.e-junkie.com/product/1758008/Reef-Moonshiner26230393Bs-ICP-MS-Test

As I said at the meeting, you can use any ICP test for the trace element calculator. Travis/Upscales carries the ATI ICP test and other local stores also carry ATI or Triton. Any one of these will work. My own preference is Oceamo because they offer Mass Spec analysis as well as standard ICP.

I'm happy to answer answer questions in this thread. Please tag me so I see it.

Can we do replies or DM rather than editing the original post? With the previous thread I did not get notified when I was tagged and subsequently missed my slot.

If we didn't edit the original post, the thread would get really long. We can make sure that we also send a PM when we update the list.
