I had to use a piece off the bubbleblaster to hook it to the skimmer.. so if you don't have that pump it'll probably be harder...

i didnt take pictures of the pinwheel and volute that blue z makes... i imagine he could provide that but i can take pics of the skimmer plumbed to the sro and what not

I will say caolewis.. this is the best and most consistent iv seen this skimmer run in awhile.. I'm pretty stoked about it

Thanks bluez and Clark for helping me out with this... it's exactly what I needed.. inexpensive alternative to buying a new skimmer and it seems to be working great

BTW my skimmer is alive again with the jabeo pump.. looking good so far

Noticed that yesterday I said the a word in a pm and it changed it to donkey in the biblical sense lol didnt even notice it did it till the next day lol

Dunno I know my tank is dirtier than normal... been skimmerless 4 or 5 days now

Dunno man but iv seen some pictures of one guy who got in the eye bad.. don't think he ever got his vision back... scary stuff

So I assumed yesterday I had no new growth... didn't look like it at a glance.. didn't pay real close attention because iv been dealing with this skimmer issue... but I checked them out real close today and have 3 new heads on the zoa and 1 new on the paly..

dont understand whats wrong with the bubbleblaster.. its all clean.. impellar looks fine.. but it spins then stops or doesnt start at all... oh well im liking this dc pump idea but need to get the ball rolling on it... its day 2 no skimmer :o

Yea that one... keep me posted... I have the pump of the sro in a vinegar bath right now.. hoping a good cleaning can keep it going a bit longer

Anybody have experience with these?... the pump on my sro3000int is starting to go out... doesn't like to turn back on.. I'm a little on the broke side atm working less hours and they look like decent skimmers for 250$.. any input?

I'm not sure the size of acrylic on my tank.. but I don't think it's a full 1 inch... maybe 3/4 and my wp60 barely stays put... I kinda keep the cord tight to help hold it up
