What happen to it? I have fixed several of them .. did the impeller head or base break away from the mag. so it spins free on the Shaft? if so loctite makes a 2 part epoxie that will glue them back together like new (marine grade) at home depot for 4.95 or bring it by and I'll glue it for you.

sounds good to me. Tank will balance it self out have to add some every 2 months more or less, time to add more is when It starts to look dirty

now that you've had it up aand running for a while was curious about the black sand how is that working out for you? Was thinking of using it in my next build.. since I really like the briter colors was interested if you noticed the colors on yours pop out more and how is it for clearing? thanks any input would be welcome

Thanks for all the compliments have worked really hard on this. Can't wait for the move to be done. Going to be like a mother hen with her chicks, moving all the tanks.. 3 larger ones with all the trimmings 1 40b set up a qt/ hosp set up and 2 picos 6g and 2g. + a 12g tall, figure its going to take a week more or less geting the 220 in first then moving everthing in to that one , do the construction work then install the rest. In the new house Finally get a fish room thats going to have 450g viewing area over 3 tanks on a 14' wall of water. decided to go with 3 tanks. a FOWLR, A mixed reef island set up in the on the other end and a SPS only in the middle, still may change the order around trying to figure out what will look best, a 120 starfire with LDES on either on the end and a 220 (james tank) acrylic in the middle with MH 3/250 + 4 t5 supplemets. plumping them through the wall and have a filter / frag / QT setup room build on the other side with 3 sumps filter setup plumbed together w/ disconects to beable to isolate the tanks if nessarry. Then a wall rack for the QT and hosp tanks wraping around one side a frag breeding station. Going to move this once I get started to the build thread with lots of pics. Sorry can't help the ones I have are all DD either 48 or 60. However you would be welcome to borrow my QT till you find a repalcement. Have to pull it down any ways due to the move.. fully cycled 40 gal with 50g sump. Know It doesn't fix your problem but might by you some time so you can find the right deal.

+1 Garlic and melafix really dont do much in this case. As said before it can be 1 of 3 issues you can only treat one of them other than providing a happy satble environment. The one you can treat would have to know full details. but would hazard a guess that it is damage just by what your saying on the condition of the fish when you got them. now that damage may have gotten infected and could be treated by an anti-biotic but would say that you need to use sopmething stronger. could you post a pic on the inflicted fish and what treatments you have done so far and full water parms. would help with stetting up a treatment plan. So have been working on this ever since I had that monster ich out break that wiped out most of the tank. So here is Re_run's 2.0 on the 110 Miracle StarFire, with LEDS, w/ calcuim reactor and 40 gal sump, reef keeper lite 2.0 It's about 1/2 way to where I want it to be. Going to re work the rocks a little better,and go with a larger grain on the sand bed. as some you know I will be moving in the next 10 days. Have Gorgeous Purple that I just find amazing.. I think Its wonderful after you put in all the hard work and heartache then it finally pays off. The ones that get me are, the ones you let loose in the tank they disappear in to the rock work and never see them again. You look and look some more and never see or find them. Then when you've given up all hope of ever finding them 2-3 months later they pop out and say high.. have a engineer goby that did that me for almost 2 months. Looked every where and at all hours of the day and night. Got to the point of just shy of tearing the tank apart to find it. Then long after I wrote it off he makes a cave right in the middle of the DT front and center and pops out his head and says Hi where you been.
