Have a biocube thats been running for a few years. I recently started restocking it with fish since I have someone who can take care of it when im out of town working. Anyhow, blue star leopard, and a midas were added about 1.5 months ago, been awesome, added a flame angle for my last fish about 1.5 weeks ago. Everything was fine, water perfect corals doing great, was feeding every other day a small portion of mysis. When I got back from a hunting trip I noticed my midas was a bit skinny, but very active. Also noticed the flame angle was a big hidy, Decided to up the food to every day thinking maybe they were underfed, but after 2 days the angle died, the blenny was eating but getting skinny, and the leopard was just fine. 2 day after the angle died, the blenny was dead, then the next morning my leopard was dead. Checked the water a few times during this, and it was fine. I'm guessing I got some kind of disease with the flame angle. I'm very annoyed to say the least, but I've been in and out of the hobby for a long time, but only twice had something like this happen since 2001. Last time it was in my old 75 about 6 years ago. I think im gonna treat the tank with prazi pro just because I have no idea what killed them. There was no visual signs other than they deteriorated very fast. blenny got skinny fast. colors were fine until they died obviously. I wanna get a handle on this before I dump anymore money into fish. I'd love a quantine tank, but frankly there is just no room at my place for one.

what kind of condition is the acrylic in, is there a sump or return pump included?

I knew once I started putting fish back ion my biocube it wouldnt be enough lol. I hate to settle so I think I wanna get a back into a 75 or 90g tank. preferably built with overflow, sump skimmer and return pump would be nice as well. Might consider a larger tank, but needs a 4foot wide footprint, and I dont want a super tall tank. I dont need any lighting, as I already have a few 400w mh setups laying around from days gone.

I need a factory replacement ballast for one of my pc on my biocube 29. Frankly, id much rather get a hqi hood if anyone has one for sale though. I'm tired of running a 400w open hood setup, water evaporation was pretty fantastical, and the pc is ok since im jsut doing softies at the moment, but I'd like to get the factory hqi setup as I love mh.

Any specs on the tank? I'm looking to get back into a larger tank.

can you give me some dimensions on the tank, glass or acrylic?

I have a bio cube 29 I've retired. St has maybe a 10lbs piece of live rock and a few smaller. Been out of the hobby for awhile and my last fish kicked out he bucket about 2 months ago. I'm getting ready to move. THe tank and fish have to go. It's not the greatest 75g, but has built in overflow. It's glass. Has some scratching on the glass. THere are soem decent chunks of live roc k in there, but it's full of green hair algae. Some zoos, and mushrooms, along with a little frog spawn. Comes with a skimmer, return pump 10g sump, emperor 400, 2 koralia, and a heater. I'll get a picture up soon. Livestock wise, a few hermits, 2 nice sized mystery wrasses, 1 bigger scarlet wrasse, 2 blue star leopard wrasse, and 1 hardy coral beauty. I just need it gone and to a good home.I love my wrasses, but I dont have time for the tank anymore. I'd like to get 100 bucks for the whole setup.

I'm getting ready to move pretty soon, and things in life have changed so I wont be bring any fish or tanks with me. I paid 2k for this setup awhile back from epic1, Nice tank, with nice stand, return pump octopus pump skimmer lighting etc.. You will need a few people to help you move it all, and probably a few trucks. Check epic1's profile for a picture of it, I dont have any on my computer at the moment. I was just curious, how thick is that glass? I Looked at a picture of it and it seemed pretty green. I havent looked at any kind of euro clear style tank in a long time, but I thought it was clearer than that. This is all curiousity as I do want a starfire tank one of these days. I really like the clear glass over acrylic.

anymore trips planned anytime soon?

I dont have ac yet but I plan on figuring something out before summer gets too hot.It wsill be in the living room along with my reef, which I will be upgrading to around a 290g soon. I'm thinking IU would like some type of cube setup, not too large, maybe in the mid 40gallon range. Do you guys have pictures of your wet dfry setups. Are you using something like bio balls or? I'd be down to go along and im pretty much free most of the summer. shaun

so when is the next trip? I'm also wanting to try one of these tanks out. I do have a 75g glass setup I will be cleaning out as soon as I move up to a 200ish gallon tank, but frankly I think a 40ish gallon cube would be perfect.

yeah they do like to jump. my fish have been fish sat at westside and my flame jumped out there -_- lost my other 2 potters and clown wrasse too.. 50% survival isnt bad I guess. Not sure if I ill get another flame though.

nice! I bought one from tim awhile back. He is the pig of the tank. He attacks any food out of my hand be it flake or frozen lol. He managed to jump out the tank the other day but is still doing good after a rescue. I love the flame super males. Now I just need a female or 2. I bet yours are as pigish as mine!

gotta thank west side for helping me out. He is gonna house my fish while im in hte process of moving. That new 1000g tank he has is amazing. I love that lfs, and gotta say, I cant wait to get my new tank setup with the 2 mystery wrasses, and potters angel I bought a few days ago .

THanks for the replies. I will definately have my work cut out for me. We are still looking for a house right now, and I have to leave town for the next 10 days on a job. It also looks like I have to deal with a probate for my fathers will. Man what a pain in the butt it is to die.

Last week was a bad week for my family. My father passed away, and now I am in the process of finding a new place and I have a deadline to get out by the 30th of april. Right now I have a 75 gallon tank with around 15g of sump water. I do have a 150g tank I wa splanning on using, and figured I could get it setup at the new place, but the problem is I wont have enough time to cycle. Now I dont know how good or bad disturbing and moving the sand bed from my current tank will be. I was planning on moving the cycle rock n sand to the new tank and some water. I have quite a load on my tank right now and would really not like to lose any of the fish or coral. Will the new tank still go through a entire cycle with moving the sand bed and say part of the water n rock? Any tips would be great.

I've used 2 work horse 5s for a few years now and they have been perfect. I've also used a 400w magnetic mh ballast from tri phase electronics was around 38 bucks from what I remember, and I've had about 4 years of use out of it with not a single issue. It sits in a old 50cal ammo can
