I'd like to get rid of my external overflow too. Do you think it would be possible to drain the display tank down just far enough so you could drill the back glass from the inside of the display without removing any livestock?
Nice job! Way to support your local shop. I try to go in to The Nautilus every couple of weeks and get a little something. I got a real nice clove polyp colony last week. It was a little pricey but I want to help keep them open.
I really like the peninsula style too, wish I had the room for it. What type of tang is all this for? By the way, I've noticed a few new Eugene reefers, maybe its time for another Eugene area meet and greet/tank tour?
What skimmer are you guys going to use? I too bought a 40B at the same time you did, and I'm trying to decide on a hob skimmer since I'm going sump-less. Any ideas?
Hey Eric, any chance you might move to the Eugene/Springfield area? I'm so jealous of all you Portland area reefers and the sweet corals you have at your fingertips.
I'm going to be in Huntington Beach Aug. 27th-Sept. 2nd. I grew up there but none of the stores I remember are still there. Maybe I could give my dad a call, and get him to do some investigating for us.
